barjpoe
I think they are not selling. Just got an Royal Up for my Icon cruise May 18th and they are offering an Infinite Balcony for $30 down from $75. Not going to bid like my regular balcony. Any comments?
SpeedNoodles
I think you are correct.
JasonOasis
Personally I don't like the infinite veranda. While I haven't' yet set sail on Icon I did sail on Celebrity Apex just this past March on a 7 night cruise and we booked a infinite veranda and I personally would never book that category of room again. In my opinion the infinite veranda is more like a room with a window than a room with a balcony. I like being able to wake up in the morning and if I want to just sit outside I can do that without turning off the air conditioning in the room. My husband sometimes sleeps in but if I have the window open on the infinite veranda after like 20-30 minutes the room is hot which isn't comfortable for him while trying to sleep. It is a unique room/balcony but I will say it isn't for everyone or for every couple. We both loved our first experience on Celebrity but we both agreed that we would never book a infinite veranda ever again. Ryan79
I did an infinite balcony on Celebrity and wasn’t a fan of the concept. Not a surprise if they aren’t selling. Looks like I had the same experience as @JasonOasis above!
barjpoe
I wonder if Star will still have them?

I've seen it stay available the longest. However, I had to bid minimum $170pp to get mine. What category are you in that the bid was only $30? mom2mybugs
I’m glad to hear all the opinions, as we have been considering a celebrity cruise. I watched an Emma cruises video and she also mentioned the issue of light in the room…you can’t have an early riser be on the balcony (on a reg. Balcony cabin) but instead it causes a light issue if one person wants to be “outside” in the virtual balcony room. That’s a game changer if we are spending money on a balcony room with the expectation my early waking husband won’t wake me up! RCIfan1912
I'm one of the few that would LOVE these rooms. #1 I'm not a fan of heights so kinda being in the room just with a very large window that opens would be better than a balcony. #2 we barely use the balcony now anyway. I love this idea in general. OCSC Mike
tjcruisers
Would like to try it one day. I can see the pros and cons. I’m the early riser, but usually go to top to walk around and watch the sun rise RCIfan1912 and OCSC Mike
GJ_123
We really liked the infinite balcony on Icon because when we get a balcony we don't particularly like sitting outside anyway, we just like the breeze coming into the room. So we kind of preferred the room feeling a bit better. But if you enjoy a balcony I can see how some people wouldn't like it. It's pretty much a window rather than a balcony haha. ScottD
I love the idea of these, and would probably like it EXCEPT the whole AC thing- that would annoy me enough that I'd probably never open it during the day and just sit out there at night
OCSC Mike
The AC part sounds awful... otherwise I think I'd like them since I'm also one of those "we don't use our balcony even if we have one" people (which is why we book interiors and use the savings elsewhere). ZBrady
Initially only Interiors were in our budget, but we were really hoping to Royal Up. Made close to minimum bids on everything that was available and won the bid for an Infinite Balcony almost immediately. Not *super* thrilled about the concept compared to traditional balcony, but it will certainly beat an interior. Also somewhat interested just to try it. We'll see how it is in just 3 short weeks! Totally agree, pretty much anything would be better than an interior room. The whole AC shutting off thing seems like it would get annoying though.
