SHS Posted November 2, 2023 Report Posted November 2, 2023 Hullo , wanting to know if there is a fridge in the rooms? Quote
Matt Posted November 2, 2023 Report Posted November 2, 2023 It's a mini fridge that's more of a cooler than a fridge, but yes, they should have one. Quote
smokeybandit Posted November 2, 2023 Report Posted November 2, 2023 Just note that if you rely on something to be at a typical fridge temp of 38F or less, these coolers will not do that. If you just want to keep drinks cool, they're fine. Quote
fireclan Posted November 2, 2023 Report Posted November 2, 2023 Our ocean view room on Enchantment didn't have a cooler/fridge. Do the older ships not have them? Quote

Doug_Texas Posted November 2, 2023 Report Posted November 2, 2023 These “coolers” were always close to worthless. Beverages cooled barely above room temperature. I don’t know what happened but all of a sudden our cabins over the last 2 years have had these units cooling to full refrigerator temperature. Thanks RCL! I don’t know how or why we have experienced this but we love it. Quote

We put one water bottle in it and left one on the counter overnight... couldn't tell which was which in the morning. I feel like more often than not they have at least cooled beverages enough to serve their purpose but I haven't exactly kept stats. Quote

So not cold, but definitely chilled. I kept a 6 pack of N\A beers in there for a few days and they were cold enough to enjoy after 2-3 days Quote
WAAAYTOOO Posted November 2, 2023 Report Posted November 2, 2023 Shockingly, the fridge in our Panoramic Ocean View room on Mariner last week was really cold ! I think it's b/c those rooms forward on deck 12 are new and are likely to have newer coolers. This was definitely an anomaly though....they are usually coolish at best. OCSC Mike and ScottD 2 Quote
Jolly Ogre Posted November 2, 2023 Report Posted November 2, 2023 I always get an ice bucket for things I want colder like beer, Champaign and the like. KJ777 1 Quote

Putting the ice bucket into the cooler works pretty well, as long as you rearrange the shelving so you can close the door all of the way. Using that method got our water bottles fairly cold after putting them in at room temp. Jolly Ogre 1 Quote
USFFrank Posted November 2, 2023 Report Posted November 2, 2023 I've never tried this (at least I don't remember), but if one wants to be adventuress, try pulling the "cooler" out and see if there's an adjustment dial somewhere. Quote

On Allure our cooler could only hold the 1L Evian bottle in regard to width. Quote

I can't remember - do the ice buckets also have those plastic bag liners? I wonder if you could pull that out for size flexibility? It wouldn't last as long but might help a bit? Quote
