jticarruthers
Just off Freedom of the Seas and noticed that some of the "iconic" trivia events were relabeled. Harry Potter Trivia was "The Boy Who Lived Trivia" and Disney Trivia was "The House of the Mouse Trivia". We attended the HP one and the host made it clear that "they were not allowed to call it HP Trivia anymore" ... didnt attend the Disney one but I imagine it was the same explanation. Anyone seen anything similar on other ships? Curious if this is a Freedom thing or a Royal thing and then ultimately curious if it s proactive or a sign of someone getting "lawyery" and threatening infringement. Xaa
They still called it HP Trivia on our March 5th Anthem cruise. It was very popular and very difficult too.

That was part of what caught our attention, there were only 4 people at the HP trivia and the host made a point of saying "how do we get the crowd to come since we cant say HP anymore". If you don't know the "The boy who lived" is Harry Potter, you won't do well on the trivia quiz anyway. CrimsonCruiser
The mouse and the bros warner have been cracking down on their licenses for reasons of $$ so the Royal entertainment staff on that ship may have just been being overly cautious to avoid any potential issues. FionaMG
Thanks for the heads-up @jticarruthers I have no interest in HP but DD is a huge fan and will want to do the trivia on our cruise in July. I'll keep an eye out for that in the Compass.

She Sails Away
I sailed Enchantment in January, and they had trivia identified as Harry Potter trivia. They also had trivia labeled Lord Of The Rings trivia.
FSUFAN
Same reason around the Superbowl when advertisers start saying the Big Game. Get your {snack name} for "The Big Game". The mouse and HP are very protective of their branding.
SassMaster
I hope they still do this in December! Lol. I love HP! Unless they are asking actor questions…I would be able to get 100%.
