Rory
Checking to see if anyone knows Royal's rollout plan for converting the Jazz on 4 spaces into non-smoking casino spaces like on Wonder? The only info confirmed is Harmony is starting their conversion today through March 12. I would guess they move to the next Oasis class ship on March 12-26? The first I read about this project was a post that Cory (CD on Allure) told the guest they were doing this and had hoped to complete all Oasis class ships by end of April. Has anyone received an email on an upcoming sailing (not including Harmony) about this?
twangster
Royal never divulges this kind of information. Like the Starlink deployment across the fleet we rely on the user community to report it. Even for the first ship to have work done in that area, that's all Royal said. Work is being performed. It took the user community to figure out that this probably meant Jazz on 4 was going on that ship.
Rory
Yes, so if anyone receives a "please excuse our dust" email about construction next door to the Diamond Lounge for an upcoming sailing on Oasis, Allure or Symphony please post here. Thanks!
AtlantaNole
Kind of disapointed. Was just on harmony, this would explain why jazz on 4 was never opened, a shame, such a unique concept of a jazz club. Too bad it is going away. Btw, did not think casino was that smokey. Summer Bee Sweet
Was told by staff that Jazz on 4’s last week on Oasis was last week - the sailing that ended on 3/5 Anyone on Oasis this week?
Lexster
Honestly such BS. Oh, yeah, let's take away music to give way for MORE gambling. Great. Pooch and BowTieBrigade

WAAAYTOOO
Update from OA. There is no longer any reference to Jazz On 4 as a performance venue. The Jazz presentations are being advertised as being held in the Music Hall. While I have not confirmed directly with anyone “in the know”, I think it’s pretty clear that Jazz on 4 is no more. When I went by there today, the doors were closed and (presumably) locked. I will pop by next week and see if there is any construction/destruction going on. I will go later and snap some pix of the closed door. I spoke with the D Concierge (Norman…awesome Concierge) who confirmed that the Jazz club is totally closed and that the new non-smoking casino annex would begin operations on 3-12….which is next week ! Since we will still be onboard, I will go there once it’s open and check it out. PPPJJ-GCVAB

If it moves to the Music Hall, that's better than nothing. WAAAYTOOO
Pooch
I’m hoping for somewhere in Central Park. We are staying on Deck 8 & a little jazz in the evening would be sweet! WAAAYTOOO

Rory
I checked a few sailings on the app schedule and Jazz is scheduled in Central Park, Music Hall and Royal Promenade throughout the week. So it appears they will maintain jazz onboard and have them play in various venues throughout the ship during each sailing! Would love to see some photos next week when they reopen. Thanks! Rory
My FB group has a guest onboard that just posted Jazz on 4 is open this week but all live music has been scheduled in other venues. He is being told construction will begin 3/12 and usually takes 2 weeks to complete the remodel. Two different reports from separate guests currently onboard. WAAAYTOOO
Just got this re: next week on OA : Dear Guest, We’re excited to welcome you onboard Oasis of the Seas. Before we set sail for adventure, we wanted to share an update on some venue upgrades happening onboard. Starting March 12th, 2023 through March 26th, 2023, we will be making some enhancements on Deck 4. During this time, we kindly ask for you to please ‘pardon our dust’. Due to the Diamond Lounge’s proximity to these efforts, we’ll be hosting our Diamond Lounge morning and evening hours in alternate locations. Please check the virtual Cruise Compass for hours of operation. Daily breakfast in Vintages Evening cocktail hour in the Music Hall The Diamond Lounge operations will continue as usual, but please know, we expect noise and dust in the surrounding area as our team’s work. We're sorry for any inconvenience caused by this and thank you for your understanding. Sincerely, Crown & Anchor® Society Here is what the inside of the Jazz club looks like right now PPPJJ-GCVAB, MaryG and Ampurp85 2
WAAAYTOOO
Apparently they are just starting the renovation next week.
Rory
This is consistent with what the other guest has reported. He said the construction crew is completing Harmony and will be onboard Oasis this Sunday to begin the process. The new casino venue should be open to guests on the 3/26 sailing. Adding 40+ new slots in the new venue. I bet nonsmoking gamblers will enjoy the new space and having Jazz playing in multiple venues around the ship should be nice as well. Thanks WAAAYTOOO for your updates! WAAAYTOOO

Ampurp85
I am excited for a whole nonsmoking casino lol. I went to the jazz performance on Oasis and there was probably 8 of us there in total. So, I understand the idea of utilizing the space much better.
Pooch
Well better for the gamblers, not so much for fans of the jazz club.
WAAAYTOOO
The performances are primarily in the Schooner Bar, Promenade, Central Park and Music Hall. There are quite a few scattered throughout the week - more than I realized. MaryG and Pooch
