  1. The shower curtain hung perfectly! I had a full size curtain folded in half, 3 magnets through the hoops on top and screwed off the hooks on 2 more to secure the bottom. Never had any water on the bathroom floor! I will do this every time I have a Jr Suite from now on!
  2. In past cruises the safety button was on the app from the start (but as you said, not registering "complete". Now no safety button at all. So they update the app on the morning of the cruise? Thats new!
  3. Good Afternoon! We sail this Saturday on Symphony. One of the changes on the App since I sailed in December is the safety button is not on the app yet. Any recent cruisers notice when RC adds the safety button? Not a big deal but curious since it has always been on the app well before sailing, I was curious.
  4. I have 4/ 130 lb. hooks. Those should hold a shower curtain no problem. Thanks for the insight!
  5. Are the ceilings in the bathrooms metal to use magnetic hooks? I have always used them in the room but never in the bathroom. Considering taking a half shower curtain with magnetic hooks for the shower/tub in a Jr Suite on Symphony. It has a partial glass door but last cruise I had water on the floor numerous times.
  6. When I sailed Symphony of the Seas in early December the casino did not open until 9:30 in Aruba and 6:30 in Curacao, both after departure. I have noticed on more recent Cruise Compass and App schedules they open while the ship is still docked at both islands. I am wondering if there were new agreements with RC and these islands or if the information on the app and cruise compass is incorrect? Has anyone been to A & C recently and noticed this change? Thanks for any insight!
  7. Congrats on sailing Symphony's first 8-day cruise from Port Everglades! We are on the Dec 2 sailing and are very excited! Requesting either of you (if willing) to scan the QR code for the digital Cruise Compasses for your sailing and post here on the section of the website that downloads them. Our group would love to get a "sneak peek" at the itinerary for the week. We are also checking for app updates but is so much better reviewing the digital Cruise Compasses! Thanks in advance if you are willing! And HAVE A WONDERFUL CRUISE!
  8. Is anyone sailing on Symphony 8-night sailing November 18th willing to scan the Cruise Compass QR code and post them for the week in that area of the website? I would love to share them with our group sailing the same itinerary on December 2nd. Thank you!
  9. Royal's new terminal in Galveston is excellent! Last August I arrived at 9:45 and lined up. Was onboard at 10:30! Earliest ever in 40+ cruises! The terminal is very nice if you have to wait a few minutes before boarding. When the new terminal first opened it took some time to get operations in order and lots of delays. Much better now! I also recommend doing the self-assist when you return. So fast that you are off the ship and on the road in minutes once they get clearance.
  10. Thanks for the feedback! I always enjoy checking in and boarding as early as possible!
  11. Sailing Symphony 12/2 and check in just opened. Earliest time was 11:30. Asked if this was normal for Port Everglades cruises and most answers were yes, it is normal. I have usually had 10:30 or 11 times in Miami, Galveston and Long Beach. Can any cruisers that sail Royal from Port Everglades recently share their check in times? Our group also speculated that since this sailing is just after Thanksgiving perhaps they needed extra time to put up Christmas decor? Other question is when would suite guests with priority boarding arrive if 11:30 is the earliest check in time? Thanks for any feedback!
  12. My pass says SEA on it. I guess I will find out on 8/6. Feedback from various sources were mixed. Some were told to go through regular check in and some went through the suite entrance. Sounds like it depends on who is directing traffic! Thanks for the feedback.
  13. A question for Galveston cruisers that have booked Junior Suites since the new terminal opened. I have read mixed reviews on terminal staff not honoring Junior Suite guests boarding with suite guests. Inconsistently, some have been sent through regular boarding and some through suite boarding. Royal's policy states a Junior Suite perk is priority boarding. I am interested in anyone's experience that has sailed in a Junior Suite at the new terminal. Which area were you lined up in or sent to? Thanks for your feedback.
  14. Was on a recent excursion in St John. Went to use the bathroom and came back to a high tide disaster. Snorkel gear, towel, cap and shirt soaked and covered in sand. No problem, just go back up to the shower and rinse it all off. Problem was only one flip flop! After a rinse off and hanging stuff in sun to dry off I walked the beach and amazingly found the other flip flop way beyond what I thought possible it could be washed by the tide. Half buried in sand right next to a family's stuff. They were in the water, and all of them saw me walk up to their stuff wondering what I was doing. I pulled my flip flop out of the sand and held it up for them to see I was not robbing them! They all laughed and waved. Awkward! I was picturing me barefoot all the way back to the ship burning my feet!
  15. This is consistent with what the other guest has reported. He said the construction crew is completing Harmony and will be onboard Oasis this Sunday to begin the process. The new casino venue should be open to guests on the 3/26 sailing. Adding 40+ new slots in the new venue. I bet nonsmoking gamblers will enjoy the new space and having Jazz playing in multiple venues around the ship should be nice as well. Thanks WAAAYTOOO for your updates!
  16. My FB group has a guest onboard that just posted Jazz on 4 is open this week but all live music has been scheduled in other venues. He is being told construction will begin 3/12 and usually takes 2 weeks to complete the remodel. Two different reports from separate guests currently onboard. "Communication breakdown, its always the same!" -Led Zepplin
  17. I checked a few sailings on the app schedule and Jazz is scheduled in Central Park, Music Hall and Royal Promenade throughout the week. So it appears they will maintain jazz onboard and have them play in various venues throughout the ship during each sailing! Would love to see some photos next week when they reopen. Thanks!
  18. I usually get up at 5:30, get ready and arrive at the Windjammer at 6. Eat breakfast and then go get my stuff and go get in line. This almost always allows me to be one of the first off. But you should prepare to wait in line for a while. Worth it if you want to make an earlier flight and avoid the insane crowds that follow. And elevators are easy to get that early too!
  19. Yes, so if anyone receives a "please excuse our dust" email about construction next door to the Diamond Lounge for an upcoming sailing on Oasis, Allure or Symphony please post here. Thanks!
  20. Checking to see if anyone knows Royal's rollout plan for converting the Jazz on 4 spaces into non-smoking casino spaces like on Wonder? The only info confirmed is Harmony is starting their conversion today through March 12. I would guess they move to the next Oasis class ship on March 12-26? The first I read about this project was a post that Cory (CD on Allure) told the guest they were doing this and had hoped to complete all Oasis class ships by end of April. Has anyone received an email on an upcoming sailing (not including Harmony) about this?
  21. I have a trade offer with another guest sailing Oasis in April. If that trade offer would fall through I will post here. Thank you for the offer!
