Britabroad
Sailing from Miami, but considering flying to Ft. Lauderdale as it’s $500 cheaper. Is it easy to get a to the Port of Miami from Ft. Lauderdale compared to the Miami Airport area? Baked Alaska

AspiringCruisePlanner
We've flown in and out of MIA and FLL. If there's a significant savings for flying into/out of either one, go for it. I always compare 2 one-way flights when flying to the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area versus a round trip. JimnKathy
Ditto on flying in to either airport that offers a great deal. We've Ubered from FLL to MIA and it was easy peasy.

That was about $100 including tip, but it was a Friday late afternoon. JimnKathy
PPPJJ-GCVAB
When we flew into FLL to cruise from Miami it took us about 35 minutes to get from airport to cruise port. Cost was about $50 using Lyft. This was on a Monday afternoon. I will fly into FLL any time I need to cruise from Miami! Much easier all the way around. Pooch
We did this in October. Hubby & I took one for the team cruising out of Miami as a dry run for the big family trip in May . We used SAS transportation from our Ft Lauderdale hotel to the POM. $15 each way PP. Worked very well. They even brought us back to the hotel instead of the airport as we were staying one more day. jbrinkm
If you are flying in the day before and staying overnight, you could consider renting a car that can be returned right at the Port of Miami the next day. With a rental car, your hotel choices open up as well.
CJS2766
I priced several flights from DC to Fla and I ended up finding a better deal on one way flights to and from Fla. We'll fly into Ft. Lauderdale (User to Miami) and after our cruise, we leave from Miami back to DC Saved about $400 if you can believe that!
