Vancity Cruiser
With more and more ports turning away ships, how wild would it be if the cruise lines banded together and coordinated stops at each other’s private islands to keep more itinerary options going?! i know this will never happen but I thought it was a wild idea lol Neesa and Baked Alaska
PG Cruiser
How private are these “private” islands? Aren’t they still under the control of their respective governments?
smokeybandit
Are more and more ports really turning away ships though? Or just a few here and there that have on board issues?
Chili
I’ve just had a alcohol induced wild idea also. People are hesitating travel because they are worried about get stuck or negotiating COVID protocols. I don’t know if Royal offers it but what if they offer all inclusive packages from point to point that is covered by their` we will get you home deal.‘ So ,just say for Australia for example. Flights from sydney to LA ,a night in a hotel, shuttle to San Pedro and a flight home. All including insurance , tests and paperwork. Nothing to think or worry about. Would that work? barbeyg and WAAAYTOOO
Pattycruise
I imagine some cruise lines would lose business and others gain business based on their private island!
twangster
Royal keeps CocoCay pretty busy all by itself. If there are any empty slots I would think Celebrity would be an obvious pick to consume any empty CocoCay slots. Beyond that Royal would have to turn away it's own ships to make room for a different cruise line. That's not going to happen. meghanh
That sounds pretty awesome. I could build a nice private port itinerary. Vancity Cruiser
