twangster Posted October 27, 2020 Author Report Posted October 27, 2020 Once on board he has to quarantine and stay away from his girlfriend for 14 days while she is also quarantining on board upon her return. Talk about 'so close but yet so far'. That's gotta be tough after spending months apart. ehw51, WAAAYTOOO and cruisellama 1 1 1 Quote
KWong Posted October 28, 2020 Report Posted October 28, 2020 Happy for the guy. Gets to back doing what he loves. But weird that he had to fly from Alaska to Miami in order to go to Singapore. Quote

KWong Posted October 28, 2020 Report Posted October 28, 2020 Maybe. Upon further reflection it was probably easier to get the North Americans to one location, quarantine them, then fly everyone at once to Singapore on the same flights. In this manner you minimize the chance of outside contact. (Before they quarantine again) crisgold52, WAAAYTOOO and JLMoran 2 1 Quote
WAAAYTOOO Posted October 28, 2020 Report Posted October 28, 2020 The one piece of specific information that I did manage to get from him was that these crew were headed for NAV twangster and SpeedNoodles 2 Quote

Another hotel may be used for a different ship, etc. You happened across the NAV crew bubble. WAAAYTOOO 1 Quote
cscott972 Posted October 28, 2020 Report Posted October 28, 2020 Great news hoping to be on Quantum in April 2021 for the Explore Japan Cruise. twangster and ehw51 2 Quote
ehw51 Posted October 28, 2020 Report Posted October 28, 2020 This is what I have been looking for, this is a real tangible positive step. This is actively rounding up crew members. If not a full crew at least they will be getting the ship ready to re man them. They seem to have moved the process along. I think it´s great news. USFFrank and WAAAYTOOO 2 Quote
