Well I made this thread to get some possible information regarding Cococay and how this is going to affect my vacation. Afterall this is a cruise blog.. am I right? I live in Florida, we are also affected by this mess. Yes, its unfortunate that the bahamas is getting nailed with the worst from the storm, we can all agree on that.

I've used them primarily for wine, but some bourbons fit (bookers, basil Hayden, skaggs, etc...).  I bet most vodka bottles fit too.  Maybe try these.

Seen this posted on Facebook and thought it would be a great guide for first timers on Allure. The lady that put this together spent some time and thought into it.

If it's free, I'm not being picky.
We are 2 away from Diamond, counting the one coming up in a few weeks.  We may have to book one more while on-board just to get us over the top.

Welcome to the cruising world now that she is hooked!
I love the fact that most Royal ships within a class have a familiar feel when you get onboard, but there are some slight changes that make each ship its own.
There is nothing wrong with booking the newest ship in the fleet - but know that the price will be higher because of that.  I would also look at ports of call along with which ships have been AMPlified while looking around for the next cruise.  While the ships are not all Oasis Class, they have some great new features on them.

I alternate from their peach shake and the frosted delight which is milky orange/lemon cream shake.

Great replies, the excitement builds and builds. Then its cruise day and you just can't wait to get on the ship. Then you go through the boarding process and once you are board you are on vacation on a big beautiful cruise ship and its relax time. Its have fun time, its do whatever you want or do nothing at all if you want. I love that Royal does push you to do anything. Yeah they let you know what is going on but there isn't any bugging you do everything.

Flights- done.  Hotel before cruise- done.  Royal gifts for family for their stateroom- done.  Excursion- done.  Waiting on entertainment to be posted.  Then spreadsheet time.  ??

We are in a Grand Panoramic Suite on this year’s Oasis Cruise (1 Dec 2019) and in a Star Loft Suite on next year’s Oasis Cruise (6 Dec 2020).  We’ve sailed in Star Loft Suites before but it will be our first cruise in one of Panoramic suites up on 17.  My only concern is the rather smallish balcony of the GPS. The big balconies are normally a big selling point for us but I’m sure we’ll manage ??. I am happy to try the single floor suite. I’m not all that fond of the loft suites stairs even though the openness of the 2 stories is very impressive. If I end up liking the GPS this year I may switch over to either the GPS again or the OPS for our Dec 2020 cruise (assuming they are still available, of course). If I am turned off by the small balcony I will just keep the SLS and slug out the stairs.

Bob_KY reacted to MicDay in Dogs on Board
People bring their dogs everywhere now.  Just was at Lowes and a family had their poor hot poodle in the shopping cart.  He couldn't get comfortable sitting in the front of the cart, his paws were too small.  My husband was getting pissed, it was very hot and you could tell the puppy was hurting.
I've even seen someone take their dog into a movie theater??!!
On the Harmony in May there was a guy with a little poodle, carried him around everywhere.  I have two dogs, I love dogs, but what is a poor dog suppose to do on a cruise ship?  My fur babies would be miserable stuck like that.
If you can't vacation without them go places that are pet friendly, I don't think a cruise ship is it.
    Totally my take on it.

I could very well be wrong, but I believe I read that the extra cabanas as Chill Island are borrowed from South Beach. Once construction is finished there and the area opens back up (December 2019?) I would imagine those extra cabanas would migrate back over there.
I'm sure someone else can confirm or deny this. But I hope the little bit of crowding these have is relieved when construction is done! ?

At the moment, the Genie cannot get a cabana for you if it is already sold out.  They have no priority for Star Class in Coco Cay at the moment.  What you should do is purchase the cabana on your cruise planner and then when your Genie contacts you, ask for a specific number (ie. Cabana 1 or 2, etc.).  The Genies have had luck grabbing a specific cabana for you but only if they are not sold out.  So make sure you purchase on your own first.
