It's been 1 year, 8 months since my last cruise on Adventure. My favorite day was in Cozumel, when our long-planned for excursion got cancelled last minute and I convinced my claustrophobic sister to go on the submarine with me, followed by a super fun lunch at Senor Frog's. We ended up having the best time, just being spontaneous - usually very difficult for two Type-A planners!

    Alaska 2019
It was better than anyone could explain.
We were fortunate to be with family to celebrate my MIL 75th birthday.
We also did a 3 day land tour via the cruise line.
Despite the wildfire smoke in some areas and the HEAT WAVE it was a FANTASTIC experience.

Our favorite cruise to date was our Alaska cruise on the Radiance.  Hubby had just had a heart attack and stint 27 days prior to our cruise.  Thankfully, we did good and the doctor said that a cruise would be restful and gave us this blessing.  He said no fly for 4 weeks and we missed that by 1 day so the doctor said he could fly.  To make this cruise even more memorable, we were schedule to go with two other couples (one from Grand Rapids and the other from Houston).  Long story short, the husband of the Grand Rapids had a heart attack two weeks after my hubby and he had to have open heart surgery so they had to cancel.  The other couple from Houston, the wife blow her Achilles tendon and had surgery.  But she came with a scooter and did great.
We did a humpback whale excursion but instead of humpbacks, we saw lots of Orcas.

So many favorable cruise memories....hard to pick out a favorite. I would have to say my favorite cruise memory was when we first boarded the Navigator of The Seas in 2006 (our first cruise) and were greeted by very friendly staff dancing and welcoming us on board. I can remember the ambiance and fragrance of subsequent cruises, miss it all so much. ?

Our first cruise with Royal, Christmas 2019 on Anthem was full of so many great memories! So many pictures I could have picked but this was our first view of Anthem as we arrived at the terminal.

My chocolate martini at the English Pub on Symphony of the Seas last February.  This bartender was very good at making me drinks I never thought I'd like and having me fall in love with them (like a Blueberry Gin Fizz - I thought I hated Gin).  Man, I miss him.

July 27, 2019 leaving the beautiful Port  of Miami on Symphony.

I never would have imagined that sail away would be my last one for almost a year and a half now.  The saddest part is that I don’t know even know when the dry dock ends. ?
However, with all the losses 2020 has brought, it has brought us many hidden blessings as well. It is important to fix our eyes on the little things in life.

Mariner is a lot closer to Oasis than Enchantment... personally i have viewed the O class as 2 Voyagers glued together side by side ... same "core" promenade on the inside but with more of it plus the open aft on O class.

I signed up because, like all of us, we miss cruising. But maybe even a bigger reason was that maybe I could help get us all back to cruising sooner by going thru the process, that would be a good thing.

I volunteered. I'm in the travel industry (a separate branch from cruising) and have family in the amusement park industry.  The sooner we can find ways for people to safely enjoy these activities again the better. And I desperately need to see the "line where the sky meets the sea".

I was asking about this even before they asked for volunteering.  I want to see fair treatment of ALL Travel Suppliers.  Hoping that by planning and showing people that you can travel without cases happening if everyone is following rules and careful, will get us all back to some resemblance of normalcy.

@Lovetocruise2002, let's hope that's accurate for Royal's sailings at least. When I saw that, I went and tried to do some Googling and see if I could find anything similar for Celebrity. But all I found was a CC thread from Sept 21, where one of the posters claimed that a group of TAs had a conference call with X on the 18th and asked that very question (what is the expected schedule for 2022-2023 itinerary announcements?). The reply was (allegedly), "possibly March of '21, but that could change." ?
@Sharla, @michelle, @AnnetteJackson -- any of you able to confirm or deny the above? I realize this is quite probably codswallop (love that word!), but would appreciate any reassurance you might be able to offer.
Gotta love serendipity (or would this be synchronicity?) -- Just got an email from my TA a few minutes after posting this. Celebrity to announce Alaska and Europe itineraries weeks of Nov 9 and 16! ??????

My first ever cruise was on a NYE trip on Vision and it was lots of fun! We were exhausted but were happy to have party hats & hanging out around the ship. Its one of the only photos we have ever purchased was a group shot they got of us on the night all dressed up with top hats and tiaras LOL We had a special meal that night in the MDR that was more intricate than the regular "formal night" dinner. Would do it again if I could convince the family ?

I've stayed at the Doubletree Biscayne Bay and it was a decent hotel.  Walking distance to restaurants and a grocery store to pick up wine/water/soda to bring onboard or any last minute things you forgot or didn't want to pack.
I made some comments about the hotel (with bad photos) at the beginning of my Thanksgiving 2019 live blog here:

I wouldn't get too hung up on size. Rather, look at what each ship offers and pick the right one for you.
Here's a few things to consider to pick the best ship for you: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/best-royal-caribbean-cruise-ship

My favorite memory from my last cruise was spending New Years Eve with the Royal Caribbean blog group- who knew 2020 would be like this!
What do you think back on to that last cruise you were on?

Getting back to Sydney on the Radiance on the day Australia stopped all cruises. I had been waiting for 2 years to do the Perth to Sydney via NZ so to have been the last cruise Radiance was able to do I will never forget
