My amazing wife will pack all kinds of crazy things. besides being at 49.9 Lb with her checked luggage she'll have a 40 Lb carry-on and a massive "personal Item". books, chargers, blankets, cross stitch, snacks, vitamins......ETC!
She'll do the same on excursions!!!  Me I don't want to carry ANYTHING! I am a photographer and won't carry around a camera anymore. Your phone should be good enough for snapshots.

I got off the elevator and decided that the least I could do was help guide him all the way to the act of this ship to Windjammer. I asked him if he minded me walking with him to the Windjammer and he took my arm and we trekked all the way across the pool deck. He told me he had paid extra to have a wheelchair and assistance but that someone complained about it? I didn't really quite understand the story and didn't really ask for clarification.
He said he took a 16 day cruise and he's going to Africa in April.  Pretty amazing travels he has done.
We got to the Windjammer where I asked the greeter if he minded helping my new friend.  The greeter was amazing and he took his arm and started asking him what he was wanting to eat and helped him to the handwashing station.  I didn't think to catch his name tag but as soon as my room service is delivered I am popping back over to Windjammer to get his name so I can fill out a WOW comment card for him.

Local media in Galveston recently reported that construction would start in April 2020 with an 18 month construction schedule. That would put completion in fall of 2021, as originally announced.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say this place is using high end electric smokers and there will not be open flames with a pitmaster loading chunks of wood all night.  With that being said their prices seem to be close to a land based restaurant.

The water in the sink is filtered and drinkable, so it should be fine to wash with.

The pools on many ships are salt water coming from the sea the ship is sailing in.  I’d suggest asking the question to your health care providers again making sure they understand the swimming will not only be in public pools but also sea water.

Generally speaking open wounds and swimming don’t mix well but your health care team can better advise.

MotleyCruiser got a reaction from SassMaster in Nachi Cocom Review 2019
I was just surfing the excursion section here and found no review for Nachi Cocom here….even with a search.  Nachi is intimate all-inclusive resort type area, on the beach south of the international pier. I’d say roughly 10 miles from the port.

I researched many of the “Resort for a day” types in Cozumel and liked the fact that Nachi has free liquor drink, AND they do frozen virgin styles for the pregnant wife, they offer bottled water at no charge, they limit the people are allow on property to 130 each day, and you can make a nominal deposit online and pay the balance in person. Deposit $20.00 pp in advance, 2 year old was no charge but eats and beverages are still free.

Getting there is no hassle at all. Get of the ship, go the the taxi stand, get in taxi, say “ Nachi Cocom please”, and your there in 15 minutes tops!!  $20.00 each way for the taxi. No mention of needing a baby seat so be extra diligent of little ones. The taxi driver will not be cautious with his driving AT ALL!!!

Arrival is simple…Taxi pulls up, we unload, walk to podium, show conformation, pay balance, walk 8 feet get rum Punch! Someone then escorts you to your area for the day. We were under two coconut trees with two loungers and two mini tables.  Drinks are brought to you when needed. Menus are brought to you. (I wish I took pictures of the menu, sorry). Lunch is not 5 star, but if expect 5 star you’re in the wrong country anyway….it’s traditional Mexican fare. Quesadillas, enchiladas, salads.  Better menu than I thought it would be and way better that the Buffet at Playa Mia. For activities they do have ‘extra’ you can purchase…photo packages, massage table people, even glass bottom boat tours, and banana boat rides. You can even have your wedding there.  My wife hung out in the sun while I occupied the little one in the ocean, playing in the sand , and we all enjoyed the fresh water pool ….with swim up bar!!!  Adults occupied the pool and unfortunately, smoking was allowed it the area. 10 Rum Punches and a decent meal and clean facilities this was the highlight of our cruise. It’s nice to have to have thing done for you and Nachi takes care of everything. Oh yeah...Free WiFi too!!

Somewhere close to 3pm we headed back toward the exit. Things were a little foggy at this point but I was 98½% functional. The folks at Nachi haled us a cab and we hit the road back to the International Pier. Another 20 buck, no car seat and a more cautious drive. Made it back in plenty of time. Out little guy was out cold by the time we got back.

Nachi is a DON’T MISS A+ PLACE TO ENJOY THE DAY. We will go again!
