Step 1 - Got it
Step 2 and 3 will take some people 15 minutes. I'd hate to be #3 in line.
For the moment Royal is going with a crew member assist at the Freestyle machines.
So true And I do not carry my phone with me when at pool or on deck. I am on vacation and disconnecting.

I can only imagine how frustrating it is to choose based on ports then have them change but like @AshleyDillosaid things are in flux right now and I am sure Royal is doing everything they can to get the ships safely moving again. I personally feel anyone wanting to cruise this year needs to be flexible and go with the flow whatever that may be. Maybe book the same itinerary for next year? Just my 2 cents worth or at the rate of inflation 10 cents. Hope it works out for you.

Cruise planner sale going on now. Same prices as July 4th sale for DBP and UDP.

I recall it being in the solarium for some reason but that might have been the Mariner or Indy (it’s been a long time).
Enchantment does have a park cafe in the solarium if you have been on her before.

I found this on Royal’s website. Freedom class is not listed:
All Oasis Class ships have a complimentary Park Café — you’ll also find it on some Radiance and Vision Class ships. In the mornings, Park Café serves cereal, sweet treats and some hot dishes. It’s also the only restaurant onboard with a full bagel station. But the real star of the show at Park Cafe is the legendary Kummelweck.

There is a water park just outside the port in costa maya that was fun and had some incredible views from the zip line towers. There was a free shuttle that ran between the port and water park.

Assuming your cruise is out of port of Miami I would say yes enough time. I don’t remember ever getting off the ship any later than 8:30 am.
-
Yes it’s ok. The going sale rate we have seen so far has been $58 down from $67. I would definitely buy at that price and watch for a drop. Depending on your sail date, probably a good sale for Labor Day, then a really good sale usually around Black Friday.

Well stated. The Miami Herald is especially anti-cruise, and that particular writer loves to harp on anything negative having to do with the cruise industry.
That’s crazy. Think of the amount of money the cruise industry brings to South Florida and Miami. Why bite the hand that feeds you.

$67 That is our regular price in the cruise planner. We got it on sale for $58 so I would say $67 is not terrible for onboard price.

My time is for the main dining room and is included in cruise fare. UDP is for specialty restaurants that charge extra.

I might be mistaken but I seem to remember that you can’t make MyTime reservations on the CP unless you have pre-paid gratuities. Hopefully someone who knows more will correct this if I’m wrong
You could be correct as I always prepay

We're cruising with friends on Royal for the first time in January. We've all selected My Time dining. Will they be able to accommodate 2 families (8 people) fairly easily, or will we be waiting awhile. I assume going earlier or later will help things? Not sure how the whole MTD thing works...
If you have different reservations, link them, then go into cruise planner and reserve my time dining times under dining option.

Update…got a call back from the same rep at Royal who said she heard back from the ship and could now process my refund. So hopefully in the next few weeks it will go through.
Lesson learned, don’t ever assume your stateroom attendant is taking care of it and don’t leave the ship until you’re sure everything is accounted for!
Thanks for the update. Glad they took care of it. Go team Royal.

I have used the $100 on board credit reward on two cruises now. I just book online myself, follow directions on reward then once applied I transfer to my TA. I have had no issues, knock on wood.

@cdixon22I honestly cannot think of a person who doesn't like Mexican food in some capacity, thanks for the suggestions. Is VooDoo donuts that place that has a donut with a chili on top? I saw a YouTube review awhile back about Universal reopening and the girl tried some weird donuts, like a donut grilled cheese.
Ha - no nothing too weird. Some with bacon and some with cereal, etc. The special universal studios orange one is my favorite-filled with vanilla pudding.

Our pre-crusie, all theme park stay will be at Floriday's Resort Orlando. My plan was to stay at the Hyatt House across from Universal Orlando Resort,. Our plan is to be at the parks all day. The resort is located at 12562 International Dr Orlando and if anybody has any suggestions for good restaurants, I would definitely appreciate them.
If you like Mexican food try Antojitos at Universal Citywalk. And of course VooDoo donuts for dessert. Yum!

So with new test requirement, what will you do (if anything) to increase chances of testing negative?
