  1. Koopman testimony struck me in that he wasn't working with Royal at the time, not like he was a an officer on board that day (how the heck did lawyers find him in particular).

Reading a cruise law site I see this "Royal Caribbean had tried to counter this aspect of the Wiegand’s case by arguing that Officer Koopman is a disgruntled ex-employee who shares an attorney with the Wiegands, so his testimony should be discredited." Looking at his linked in page he went from a CSO on the ships to a few some smaller jobs, does look like he didn't leave Royal voluntarily, which supports Royal's statement.

In the end there has to be some concept of common sense, which this grandfather didn't appear to have

  2. Never had an issue ordering more than 1 thing for the included price. The last few times I went the service has essentially been non existent. As Nessa said you'll only get a few fries or onion rings and ordering more will come at a snails crawl if at all. Last time we went there was a few tables being occupied and us. After sitting for about 10 minutes time for somebody to come take our order , the one table got up and left. The manager confronted them as leaving saying you've ordered you can't leave. The husband started yelling they ordered over 40 minutes ago and they weren't going to wait any longer. Ended up giving JR a 1 on the post cruise survey

I agree!  I just got back from a Caribbean cruise on the adventure of the seas. The food was absolutely disgusting. Everything was way over cooked and had no seasoning at all. Taste of Italy had leftover taco meat in its lasagna. I was extremely disappointed in the quality of the food. Noodles were soggy and pizza taste like cardboard.

Was on the Adventure in the fall and definitely agree, the pizza was really bad. Found Cafe Promenade overall was disappointing whenever we went (after shows).

  4. I like it on the cool side. For the most part I find them very comfortable and sometimes I actually wear a hoodie when walking around the interior of the ship (find the theater always cold). She'll need to cover up.  The only exception is I find the Oasis class tend to be on the warmer side. I guessing having do to the neighbourhoods and the door constantly being opened letting in the hot humid air. I find of seas days it's really warm to the point of being uncomfortable

Nobody plans to fail but a lot fail to plan.

Extremely wise words. My youngest's passport expired in early 2021 and we renewed it immediately. Kept getting asked why would we do that seeing travel is essentially grounded. My response was 99% of the people think like that so the passport office is empty (we got it in a few weeks) and we'll be able to hit the ground running when it opens up. Fast forward to 2022 and you have lineups at the passports offices a KM line and people getting in line at 4 am.

  6. Have to agree with everybody else. It's not reasonable for RCL or the TA to know the entry requirements for every country and for every situation. Given they could change over time time, I wouldn't trust them if they did. In the end the up to the person travelling to do the legwork. There have been multiple threads on this topic just in the last few months.

As many said your safest/best bet might be see if you can transfer to a different cruise and pay the $100 penalty.

    This might help as well

  7. Never been to Coco Cay, fingers crossed nothing cancels it for 3rd time on our summer cruise. Have done Labadee 3 times and I find it extremely relaxing.

Royal was suppose to be building a new private island or beach or something west of Labadee (or at least that's what our waiter told us last cruise). Maybe that'll increase cruises going in that direction

  8. I see both sides, having the split between the ship and port responsibilities isn't ideal. Wonder how frequent this is, the number of lost bags per any given cruise. If it's a low number (something I can count on one hand), from a PR perspective Royal should just cover it.

Comparing to the airlines/airport, they have a bar code on the tag they put on your luggage they scan at multiple points. Maybe something like that should be done. Royal scans the tag when they pick it up from the hallway, when put it on the luggage cart to leave the ship and the guys in the terminal scan it when they take it off the luggage cart. At least it gives them some traceability

  9. We wait at least a few years for the most part. We sailed Anthem shortly after it came out and there will a lot of kinks they were still working out (bionic bar, shows having issues and cancelling 1/2 was in, etc). You'll be paying a premium for a cruise that might end up being frustrating.

I'd appreciate anything, absolutely any help at all as this is the biggest mystery. My other laptop, secondary laptop is a Chromebook and that works just fine. If I have to do something website wise I use that but mostly do things from the phone. I'd like to be able to log in from my large screen laptop from time to time. Thank you for any help or anything you find out.

By the way the message I get is, we have your information but can't log you in, please try again later.

It's something pretty close to that and the sight of that message actually makes me want to vomit at this point, been seeing it since September.

Talking to them, most things they see end up being server config issues (but they affect all users). The message your getting is not something I would expect. If it was an authentication thing you'd get a incorrect user or password message.  Seeing both FF and Chrome fail I can't see it being a browser issue (they tend to be the go to ones, Microsoft browser on the other hand up until recently tended to be a Colossal pain in the A$$).

Does it just stay on the login page with that message below it? Any other info (some error code number)

    Suggestion we came up with

    1) Some companies detect your logging in from a different computer and require a 2 step validation when they see a new machine logging into an account, but I don't know if Royal does that. Logging in on your other machine, check your your profile that you have a security question set and your cell phone (in the event it's trying to do that)

    2) Temporally shutting off your firewall/antivirus and give it shot. Your probably running windows defender

    3) Look at the internet security settings in windows. Assuming your using windows 11. Go to

Control Panel --> Network and internet -- Internet Options. That'll bring up a dialog (or you can type internet option in the start menu)

Go to the security tab, you'll see Internet, Local internet, Trusted sites and Restricted sites

When your on the Internet - you should probably have medium-high

Click on the restricted sites icon and the site button below it, check to see if royal is in there (mine are always empty)

Click on the trusted sites icon and the site button below it. Try adding https://www.royalcaribbean.com/*

If your really motivated, open the browser to the royal login page. Hit F12, that'll open the developer tools for the browser. There will be a tab called called network, a little lower you'll see All | Fetch/XHR. Select All and then try logging in. This will monitor the calls to the server and the response. Overall it won't mean much to you, but if you run your working machine and your non working machine side by side you can look where they differ, which might give you a different status code or some additional info. There is a call with the name authorize?response_type......  that one and the few after might be of interest

  11. Have you tried different browsers on this new laptop? I do write software for a living, but it's been a while side I did client side stuff. Usually with strange behaviour we'd always recommend clearing the history/cache/cookies first. It could be something with the security settings you have set on the browser or a firewall/antivirus issue (misconfigured rule). If you have  an AV/firewall setup you can temporally turn it off to see if the solves it.
