RickinSTL got a reaction from loki007 in Favorite ship and why?
The one I'm going on next.. and the one I was on last..

My first wife and I were there in 1995 (Nassau). It was fun for me at the time, however I was not long out of the Marine Corps, during which time I had been able to experience some of the more....interesting....parts of the world. I'm older and a tiny bit wiser now.

The zipline on board the ship. As much as I enjoy zip lining, they way you stop yourself is by slamming into a concrete wall. Thankfully, (I suppose) I did it on my last day on the ship. I spent the next two days in a wheelchair because of knee damage. Won't do that again!

Try to avoid cruises that have a large charter group if possible...can greatly influence the vibe on the ship!

I won't eat at Wonderland again. It was fun, but...the food was...?

I'll never do a dolphin swim again. Really neat, but definitely a one-and-done.

Snorkeling in Ketchikan, AK. The excursion and staff were great, but the wife and I did not enjoy wearing a wetsuit. Nor did we look good in it. The daughters, on the other hand, enjoyed the excursion and looked great in a wetsuit.

The Escape Room. I've never done an activity that made me feel so incredibly stupid in my life.

RickinSTL reacted to princevaliantus in Did Carnival just pull the plug for March 2021?
Well, guess we will see about Europe cruises considering Germany, Italy and UK are all in lockdown. I don't think they will be sailing until Sept., the earliest.

Forced to close this thread. This isn't the place to debate the virtues of a vaccine, nor attack each other for their views on it.

2020 just turned '21 and is already drunk.

RickinSTL reacted to Ray in "Tips for Travellers" Gary Bembridge advises to skip 2021 entirely and book only in '22 and later
Common sense really, if you are happy to cruise with measures and restrictions in place then book a cruise for 2021, if you dont want so many restrictions in place then dont book it for 2021 leave it for 2022 and hope things are back to some sort of normality by then ?
One thing he missed out though, if you book a cruise for 2021 and dont enjoy it due to all the restrictions dont bloody moan about it lol

I just cheat and peek at @WAAAYTOOO 's answer sheet!

RickinSTL reacted to R.J. in 16 Night Transpacific Cruise - Are suites normally available on positioning cruises ?
Well I stand corrected !!! (And disappointed)
Who needs a travel agent for info when I have WAAAYTOOO and SpeedNoodles providing me with such a wealth of information.
I think that WAAAYTOOO spends so much time on cruises that they should receive an honorary Merchant Mariner Credential.
