We will dine in the CK a couple of times on a 7 day. It's more of a fine dining experience and while we enjoy that, and we have never been disappointed in the food and service, we also enjoy mixing it up.

Was it just a drive by? I do wonder about posts like this and their validity.

First...haven't had any logjam issues in the D lounge. Half the time I go there it's to talk with the concierge. Loading the vouchers onto the card i think made a huge difference.
Next...how does one get invited to the Presidents cruise?  

I do believe all calls are recorded. I had an issue last year when I got on board with something promised by service, they asked if I knew when the call was made and I remembered the date and approximate time. The next day they told me they listened to the conversation and made good on the information that was given to me.

Royal contracts with Intercruises to service the check in desk in the terminal.  No Royal employees are used.  
Outside the terminal varies depending on bargaining units and other local factors, but still no Royal employees out there.
Two or three decades ago Royal had employees in the terminal.  They spun off that department and those employees, or most of them, joined Intercruise.  Once in a while you can find one of the original ones who tell stories about being able to jump on a cruise at the very last second for just port fees.  Many kept a to go bag in the car in case the opportunity arose.

Got a notice today on our Allure in 4 weeks that shows were open to reserve, clicked the link and it didn't allow me to reserve anything and said they were finalizing....

We used Uber from our hotel in April. Got an XL and from the hotel it was cheaper than from the airport...about 70. Then we used goport coming back and booked it online the last day of the cruise.

We do that with our D benefit. Last cruise when we boarded they didn't have sodas, usually had a coke and ginger ale, in our room, only water. We were told they no longer did the sodas.

Be like Super Mario and never worry about disembarkation!

As someone who has cruised twice this year under the new menus, one a Quantum and the other an Oasis, my wife and I are not fans of the changes in the MDR. In fact, on our next cruise we might not even go to the MDR. The one lure might be the night with the lamb shank. 

We were waiting for pick up this morning right beside the Uber/Lyft pick up area. There were many pickups going on, and I kept over hearing people say anywhere from $75-100 for the trip to Hobby. Since we were in that area until almost 10:00 a.m., after everything died down after 9:30 a.m., there were literally Uber drivers coming up to us asking if we needed a ride. So, I think there's definitely availability! Still, it might be better to order one ahead of time.
