have been on Odyssey multiple times, there are no problems with the elevator.  The touchless buttons are a little sensitive but nothing that had any impact on any cruise of mine.

Our US ATT plan includes Canada and Mexico by default. The International Day Pass is on top of the US, Canada, and Mexico.

The Key has been worth it for us.  We have done the Key on our last 4 cruises and on our 2 upcoming ones.

Yes you should let your server know any time you want to use them.  You may want to use them all for $14 cocktails and not $7 beer (you have a couple 50% off glass of beer and wine vouchers in addition to D vouchers).  Drinking is a science and does involve math. System works well.  We always take a stack of $1 bills for gratuities.  The servers get no automatic gratuity for a voucher.  You can tip by using the slip they bring you but we have noticed they like cash better.  We've noticed using cash there are more times they give you a freebie.  Check your vouchers from the app to see if a freebie was given.
Works the same in MDR.  Congratulations on Diamond!

You only get points for the room you stay in, not the cumulative rooms you book. It would have been that way from the start.

We loved it!  We even got snowed on 🫣!  There is a lot to see and we love the Jewel.  There were a lot of excursions in each port of call so a wide variety to choose from.  The food/service was excellent also.  This was our first Diamond cruise so the 4 drink coupons were put to good use.  I wish we had time to have done a B2B on this one.

It is the Fall Foliage Canada Cruise on the Jewel.  They only have like three (October).  We were on October 20-30th this year.  We went out of Cape Liberty port and ended in Quebec City.

We had a cruise that ended in Amsterdam a few years ago.  We scheduled an 11:45 flight out of Amsterdam. We carried our luggage off and had a private driver waiting for us at the port to take us to the airport. We were flying business class so had the shortest lines.  However, we barely made it and are sure that others on the cruise did not.  Why, because the customs in Amsterdam delayed arriving and clearing the ship for over 1 1/2 hours.  10:45 is way too early

We have the Key for our Jewel OTS cruise this Friday.  The email said arrive at 11:30 am.  The earliest I could pick on the app was Noon but we will get there at 11:30 am.  We have had the Key several times and 11:30 was our time with all of them.

whitsmom reacted to twangster in Why does it cost so much to bring an infant on a cruise
Every soul on board must have a seat in a lifeboat.  This applies even to an infant that is 6 months old even though an infant at that age would not use their own seat in a lifeboat.  SOLAS regulations don't recognize or reflect a difference from an infant to an adult, a soul is a soul that requires a seat in a lifeboat.
If there was one slot left for anyone to book a cruise before that cruise was sold out, an infant booked on a cruise prevents an adult from booking that available slot.  Given the price models for the industry an infant is no different from an adult right down to the capacity of a muster zone that groups of cabins are assigned to with all the guests in those cabins having a seat in the lifeboats assigned to that muster station.
It's common for new parents to hope for a break in pricing for an infant but the price models for everyone who books a cruise are built so many common costs are covered or shared by the masses of adults booking that cruise.  "But it's just one baby" until there are 30 or 40 or 100 babies on a ship that carries several thousands of passengers.  At that point for a cruise line to offer cheaper rates to infants someone else has to pay more and that would be all the other adults.  That's fine from a socialist perspective but not all other adults want to cover the cost of someone else's infant.
Fortunately for parents Royal does offer Kids Sail Free promotions but as many families discover those rates require more expensive cabins that can accommodate more than two guests which gets back to the seats in a lifeboat concept.  The vast majority of cabins on a ship are designed for two guests and that is part of the safety equation so that every guest has a seat in a lifeboat.  Hotels on land don't have lifeboats with finite seating capacity so cruise ships are not at all like hotels in this regard which can be a hard concept for some families to wrap their heads around.
"It's just a tiny infant" except it isn't from a safety on a ship perspective.   If safety regulations were to be relaxed then there would be some less honest company that would attempt to circumvent safety regulations by over-stuffing a ferry or some other type of passenger vessel to leverage such a loophole.  For this reason safety regulations are not flexible even though a reputable company like Royal may not choose to find a way around the regulations should the regulations be less strict than they are.
These regulations are international and they have evolved over the decades generally resulting from loss of life and previous disasters.
And so it's complicated, more than apparent at first glance.

I got off the Jewel on September 28. The points posted on October 4…six days. The number of points posted was correct. I always check as sometimes they are wrong. I sail solo and earn double points. If I sail solo in a suite I earn triple. Sometimes they only post single points and I have to call.
Calling can sometimes be a bit of a challenge. Regardless of which number or department. There’s always the possibility that the call is answered by someone who either misunderstands or is just depending on outdated information. Or is just having a bad day.
As @WAAAYTOOOcommented…the best thing to do when you are reasonably sure you’re right, or feel you’re not getting the correct answer, is just politely end the call, hang up and call back. Arguing or demanding a supervisor can be counterproductive and time-consuming.
In my experience, calling back and getting a different representative usually solves the issue.
    Good luck!

Just an FYI follow-up.  It's been 35 days, I phoned C&A again, actually spoke to a very nice and helpful person.
Surprise - there was a glitch with their system and the points were not credited and if I would not have called, they would have never been credited.  She was apologetic but still couldn't explain why the system is taking longer and they're advised to tell guests that it can take a month.  But happily, she manually entered them.
Still #loyaltoroyal but always remember to "inspect what you expect" as a former boss told me once.
    Happy Weekend!

My last cruise points posted in a reasonable amount of time (within a week) but they were incorrect !  They only posted 7 points but we had sailed in a JS.  I called C&A to have it corrected and the first rep I got insisted that we were only entitled to 7 points since our original booking was a balcony, which we upgraded to the JS months prior to the sailing.  There was no arguing with him so I just hung up and called again.  This time I got someone who had a clue, who corrected the mistake immediately.  Ugh.  Maybe C&A has some staffing issues….

As background, I eat a lot when I cruise and it's one of my favorite parts of cruising. So with that said, I love the food on CocoCay.
Not trying to convince you to have lunch there, just sharing an opinion. Besides the buffets at the 2 Grills I mentioned, the chicken sandwiches and funnel cake at the Snack Shacks are very good.

Here in the very south where I live, which relies on "sun and sand" tourism, yes, you are correct, things do start shutting down at that time of year. However, there's a lot more to southern Portugal than that. Lisbon itself is actually classed as being in southern Portugal and being a big city it never shuts down. And in between Lisbon and the Algarve, you have Évora, in the Alentejo region, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site and, again, because it's not a beach resort it doesn't shut down either. That time of year can be very interesting in this region, especially if you're interested in wine, as wine tourism is big there and this is the time the grapes are harvested.
