I purchased the tiny one-serving mix packets to mix with bottled water. I have Propel, Hawaiian Punch, Iced Tea, etc. There are even a few packs of Canada Dry ginger ale (not sure what that'll taste like ? ). If I bring bottled water on the ship, I should be able to refill those and make my own drinks.

I'm booked in one of the handful of solo balcony rooms. The room appears to be quite a bit smaller than a regular balcony, but it should be fine for just me. I'm not sure the cost difference between the solo and the average balcony room.

well worth the hike, after short bus ride.   give your self time to enjoy it,    we had blue bird weather this trip.  heading back to rainy Seattle now.  on  QTS.

It is also not fair that 1 person who cruises pays double the fare, but those are the breaks.

I've been on a few FB groups where the complainers feel free to carry on.....thankfully the upbeat, look for the silver lining crowd tends to come out in droves for every negative Nellie (no offense to anyone named Nellie!) there are positive Patty's (lol)  

Been counting down since 100+ days out and now we are less than two weeks to go. I'm so ready. Don't care about any of the negativity. It's going to be the trip of a life time! 

For the May 13 Ovation of the Seas Seattle embarkation our ArriveCAN information was not asked for. The embarkation backup was caused by people showing up at 10:30 am regardless of assigned boarding times.

We are sailing 6/10 to Alaska, I have been watching updates on Youtube for things like this and of course Covid updates. I agree RC has not been very good in relaying pertinent information. I found out about needing to load the Arrive Can app 2 months ago and from other cruise line updates on Youtube, I highly suggest to look for updates as often as possible on your own.

Right.  I have two boys with active lives, summer school, etc.  My spouse and I have limited windows of time to take vacations.  We are stuck with our booking.  We intend to make the most of the situation because even a mediocre vacation may be better than no vacation.  I am not complaining.  I am wondering about the situation and hoping for the best.

Chris Wong (Crew member currently on Ovation) mentioned in his vlog today 16/3) that all shore leave had been rescinded due to an increase in COVID amongst crew (Link to video). They had been granted freeflow shore leave about 2 weeks ago but that has now been withdrawn. Obviously this is pretty tough on the crew as it could mean they won’t have shore leave during their 6 to 9 month contracts.

This would indicate that the crew COVID numbers are higher than they had planned for given they are hving to take these measures knowing the impacts it will have on staff moral (They wouldn't make that change lightly). This could certianly play havoc with crew scheduling. You only need a couple of people in a deptment not being able to work to cause roster/staffing issues.

I'm there June 7 on Serenade and Radiance (who did the damage) will be there too. I hope that means Radiance has to be the tender ship

The Ovation of the Seas was docked in port Sitka on May 17th but had to leave at 1 pm and anchor so that Celebrity Eclipse could dock. Ovation used their own boats to tender passengers until our departure.

Ours fluctuates between $73 & $78 before gratuities.  That would put our 8 day 3 person total at over $2000. Too much for us.  If the summer sales don’t get a lot better, we will pay as we go.

No matter how stuffed I am, I always have to peruse the desserts.  One little bit of heaven was a cup of lemon meringue with a raspberry sauce running through it. Oh my gosh!! Tart lemon and sweet raspberry... I'm drooling right now just thinking about it!!!

We was quite personable to me on odyssey in December. Took time to chat. Good guy.

I assume they're just checking to make sure it has the proper info. I have read some people had cards without the vial/batch number of the vaccine included and I believe they had to get replacement cards. Don't quote me on that though.
