JennaRCB got a reaction from Funeegal in Traditional Early Dining time for Greek Isles Cruise
It was 5:30 on my Greek Isles cruise in June. It was fine for the most part, although we had dinner at the Windjammer a few times when we wanted to eat later due to longer port days.

JennaRCB got a reaction from cdixon22 in Nassau Day Pass experience?
There are a few good ones from Resort for a Day.
I recently did the one at the Warwick and it was nice. I liked that it was all-inclusive as opposed to having a limited food and beverage credit. The only downside is that the resort is located on the harbor side of Paradise Island instead of the ocean side, but it was still really pretty and had a nice pool.
I also accidentally ended up at RIU Palace for a few minutes (another day pass resort) while trying to escape a sudden downpour at the beach. I was totally not supposed to be there without a day pass and left quickly, but it looked super nice and is located on Cabbage Beach, one of the best beaches in Nassau.
The Pearl Island cabanas look great, too, so that would also be a good option. I'm headed to Pearl Island in April to check it out, although not in a cabana.
We have a few reviews on day passes:

Favorite was We Will Rock You on Anthem! I watched it twice because it was so good.
Least favorite isn't in the theater but it's probably Spectra's Cabaret or Pixel's Cabaret in Two70. I just cannot understand what is going on in the show lol

JennaRCB got a reaction from RogerC1 in Poll: Just for fun - What is your favorite ship class?
Voyager Class used to be my favorite but I think I like Quantum Class best now! I like all the indoor areas, especially the Solarium.
I also loved my cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas which is a Vision Class because it went to some amazing destinations in Greece and the Adriatic. I'm pretty boring while onboard and just like to chill with an ocean view, so whether or not ships have things like water slides or ice skating does not matter to me.
Least favorite is probably Oasis Class because the itineraries aren't very interesting and I prefer to cruise based on port than ship! However, the ships themselves are impressive and I think they're probably the best for many types of cruisers, especially families!

I was just on this cruise and wrote a live blog every day on the RCB website: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/category/category/anthem-of-the-seas-live-blog
My advice: excursions aren't necessary in any ports EXCEPT if you want to go into Paris.
La Rochelle: extremely cute and walkable town center, you can spend the day just wandering the harbor, eating lunch at a restaurant, etc.
Bilbao: take the Royal Caribbean shuttle to Bilbao city center and walk around yourself. Visit Guggenheim museum if interested and Bilbao's old town of Casco Viejo. Getxo (the cruise port area) is also nice to walk around. Read the live blog from there for more info!
La Coruña: another nice city center right outside the port with cafes, restaurants, etc. Walk to the Tower of Hercules yourself instead of taking an excursion. There is a really nice walking trail near the tower that goes around the whole coastline. It is very scenic!
Le Havre is a little more complicated because it is the "Paris" port but Paris is very far away from the city. The excursions to Paris are expensive, but I wouldn't recommend traveling there without an excursion due to how far away it is. You don't want to risk missing the ship! There was, however, a board of independent tours listed right when you got off the ship in Le Havre and walked outside the terminal doors. The excursions were cheaper on this board, although not from Royal Caribbean.
I opted to just stay in Le Havre and had a nice, chill day walking around the beach area and eating at a cafe and creperie.
It was an amazing itinerary! Let me know if you have any more questions.

I don't have experience in Norway itself, but drones are pretty regulated in most counties I've been to... to the point that I stopped using a drone because I got tired of worrying about restrictions! However, here are drone laws for Norway:

I am 1/1, I only do minimum bets for rooms I want......meaning no lateral moves aka regular balcony for spacious balconies are a big no.

You should definitely note the URL in case the user never receives the email alerting them to RoyalUp opportunities. I have never won a bid (only bid minimum on a GS) but several times I never got the email although there were offers available on the RoyalUp site on my sailing dates.

Always look at the cost to upgrade before bidding. It's not really a "win" if your RoyalUp cost more than what it would have been to directly purchase the upgrade.
Understand the room category that you are bidding on and all the possible locations are for rooms in those categories. Make sure you would be okay with any of those room locations on the ship before bidding.
Understand that RoyalUp will not maintain connecting rooms.  If you paid for connecting rooms and want to keep connecting rooms, do not participate in RoyalUp bidding.
Perks are only for whomever is booked in the room that wins the bid. You can't combine two smaller rooms into one large room if you win the bid.
You can't go by current inventory to judge if you will win a bid. RoyalUp can leverage last minute cancelations.

The biggest tip is not to become consumed with "winning".  You won when you booked your cruise in a cabin you like, at a price you like.
By all means put in a bid on an upgrade at a price you see as fair.  If you don't get it, you still get to go on the cruise in your original cabin - there is no loss!

Worth noting if B2B and you have booked same cabin for both then the Royal Up is unlikely to give you the same cabin even if you win bids on both parts....

If you are trying the website and you have multiple surnames on your booking, try all of them. I accessed with a surname that wasn't the lead booker.

Reminder that winning a bid for a suite and you are not currently booked in a suite does not give you double CAS points.

My only RU bid was from a 1 BR GS to a 2 BR GS and it opened up last minute. When we got to the room there was all sorts of medical equipment pre staged. I kind of felt bad wondering the circumstance that the room opened up with.

Not that that is a tip or a trick to getting a RU

It's probably a good point to say that the reason there are so many "wins" recently is that people are testing negative for Covid last minute.  Suites and the best rooms are usually sold out for most cruises and don't open up as often under normal circumstances.  As Covid winds down and protocols are normalized, I see way fewer Royal Up wins.

BIG ONE just happened to me. I went in to adjust my bid, I bid 1,600 and wanted to bring it lower, the minimum was 800.00 I believe. I went to the slider and it wouldn't go down, the minimum had risen to 1820 starting bid. I tried to just adjust to my previous 1600 and it wouldn't take it so I just felt I was SOL and closed out the window.
Something nagged so I went back in and looked I inadvertently sent the slider to the top 4400 for the bid, omg so glad I caught it I canceled immediately thanking my lucky stars it wasn't accepted!! It would have been an ugly win for sure.
So I only have a minimum remaining bid in for an aquasuite a cabin I have never experienced and am forgetting about it, I'm already in a CLS. But be careful, that bid X 2 would have put me in the dog house for sure. My credit card was already there because it was a modification. Phew, first time I'm happy I didn't  "win" a RUB.
Be methodical and careful before you submit. Good Luck everyone and have fun!!

If you make more than one offer on Royal-up and "win" one early (which we did about 30 days out), is there a chance our other bids for even better cabins might be accepted closer to the sail date, or are we out of the running for those?  Thanks.

No, once you win a RU, you can't do anything but outright upgrade your cabin.
