Grease can be found on all Oasis class ships, especially at the Boardwalk Doghouse.

Galveston is a perfect place to base a ship that people are expected to sail for the ship, not the itinerary.

Having casino status in top of loyalty really works out. I am now D+ so I get 2 free days but when I was diamond on shorter sailings I would use my free day, and then use my prime internet discount. It's always cheaper than any sale in CP. If it's 7days I just buy in CP.

I am one night from D+ and currently sailing on Freedom. I used my free diamond day and the price onboard was $26.99. I am also prime, the 30% discount on the remaining days will be much cheaper than the planner price.

My family did Alaska Inside Passage last summer on the Ovation of the Seas (Quantum Class). We loved it and had very few issues getting around the ship with his motorized wheelchair.  His chair is big, and he cannot stand or walk so it basically has to go everywhere he goes.  We didn't have many problems at all in the Alaska ports like Fairbanks, Juneau, and Ketchikan.  Be sure to bring a rain poncho that will fit over the driver and the scooter in case it rains!  Bring along a portable charger for the scooter that is a big help too if you need it.
We just charged the battery every night of the cruise, and for the most part my husband's chair was fine.  He had a bit of a battery drain going up steep slopes, but that is helped by either myself or my teenage son helping by pushing a bit on the back of the scooter like an engine assist. 😆
We did the train into the Klondike (White Pass Railway)in the Accessible Car and that was fabulous. They have a big lift that they will lift chairs/scooters on and you will park the scooter by a window to see all the great scenery.
If you haven't done Southern Carribean (Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, etc.) I definitely recommend those ports as they are relatively accessible. Aruba and Curacao especially. Bonaire, since it is a protected natural area, is a lot less handicapped accessible.

@Scarlett625 you did it right, push a bit on the back of the scooter chair to help the motor of the scooter/chair to get up the ramp. That saves a ton of the battery power. My husband has sailed in a 3 wheel scooter and also in his newer motorized wheelchair.  Carpet and steep inclines do tend to do in the batteries if you don't help them along.

My husband uses a mobility scooter. We purchased one that folds up (Super Handy is the brand). We used it on a short cruise to Halifax, Canada on Liberty of the Seas. Pretty easy to navigate the ship. The only issue was the elevators, especially after the shows and debarkation day. We didn't do an excursion in Halifax because we'd been there before and done most of the excursions, so we just went along the pier all the way to the casino. Completely flat and scooter friendly. The only issue was the gangway back onto the ship. It was very steep and drained the battery temporarily for both my husband's scooter and my sister-in-law's scooter halfway up. Both had different brands of scooters. I was able to push my husband up the rest of the way and run back to grab my SIL before she rolled back and took out the passengers behind her. We definitely laugh about it now that no one was hurt. 😂

My husband and I are going on Oasis in October to the Bahamas, but you said you were well versed in cruising to that area with a scooter. We'd like to cruise to other areas as well but we'd figured we'd build up to that.

I don't have a problem with this and often tell my cabin attendant not to service the cabin in the morning.
When you lose $43B USD there are bound to be service adjustments.  It's well known they've had a hard time recruiting crew so yes, gratuity has increased as they've had to entice recruits with higher compensation.

It does not. The Key must be purchased before the cruise.

I understand your frustration.  This new way of life was thrust upon us in an instant.  It wasn't a gradual thing.  At the outset we saw public gatherings stopped, even personal family gatherings strongly discouraged and criticized, restaurants and bars shuttered and cruising as well all other forms of public travel shut down.  Look how far back we have come from the early days.  Much of that is due to our medical community gaining a better understanding of the viral disease.  It will take a bit longer for more restrictions to be lifted but I think the term "return to normal" is a pipe dream.  It is a popular political slogan to garner support and votes.  "Learning to live with the disease" is really what it is about and we still have much to learn!

We were on this sailing as well. I am on the phone with RCC now and they are not booking a repositioning sailing in its place. The replacement options offered do not have our cabin category available either. we were in Grand Suite and none are available for any of the offerings. They have escalated to a new department to see if they can "find" a GS. Point to all of that, dont wait too long to contact them if cabin category matters.  They are essentially merging us into already booked up cruises.

Please report back with your findings. I’m in a two bedroom grand suite on cancelled sailing. None available on offered replacement dates. Maybe they will open up more dates or ships for transfer?

You need to tell them specifically you want to use the Diamond drink. At the Casino they should see your Prime status and apply it to that.

Diamond is the level to reach. Access to the Diamond Lounge and 4 drink vouchers each day of the cruise. The drinks can be had at any bar on the ship and up to $13 each. The Diamond Lounge has a light breakfast in the mornings and great appetizers from 5-8 plus a great Expresso/Latte machine for coffee all day.
Worth trying to get to 80 cruise days to reach this level!
