Free passport photos, one set per year if you are a AAA Plus member.

@WAAAYTOOOThere are actually two locations within easy driving distance of my house. Less than 20 minute drive.  I go often to get maps, tour guides, free passport photos, free notary service, and plan trips.

In part due to the mechanism of how the toilets flush. Household toilets use gravity to flush.   Ships toilets use suction. Granted, it wouldn't not flush with the lid open.
Also in part for sanitary reasons since stuff in the bowl can splatter around the room if you flush with the lid open. And bug like norovirus love to spread that way.

AAA has "locations" ?  I've been a AAA member for over 25 years and had no idea that they even had any office locations !  LOL

You missed out -- before GPS (and before mapquest.com) you could go there and ask for a "TripTik", and someone would make you a little binder of maps for a custom driving route for your road trip.  They would use a highlighter to show the route.
I recall using one of this when I was a kid in the late 80's to direct my mother on our driving trip to Lancaster PA.  Was kinda nifty.

I remember the trip tiks very well.  I can't remember how we got them.  I guess maybe we did go to a location and pick them up.  Gettin' old.  I guess I had forgotten that !

I just got a trip tik last year when we were planning a driving trip. Requested it through the AAA website and if I remember correctly, received it through the mail within a week. Yeah, I know, sort of "old school", but since I pay for the membership I try to use it.

This is VERY good to know! I'm a AAA member for about 20 years, & we plan to take a cruise with our adult children in 2023 and one of our granddaughters will fall into this category. Thanks @emmef!

Just to add….we had an amazing time on Harmony.  Only 2000 guests on our sailing.  Suite concierge booked all the shows for us so we could just turn up at whichever one we wanted (of course they gave unused seats to people in line without reservations before the shows started). Coastal kitchen was awesome for breakfast and lunch as there were often long lines for windjammer even with reduced occupancy.    Grand suite was a real treat, as was the suite sun deck.  Dined in all the speciality restaurants for dinner and some lunches, all great, although 150 PC was our least favourite. Felt really safe with pre testing and daily temp checks.  Cannot thank the crew enough for the efforts they made to make everyone’s cruise the best.
so yes….royal up bid was absolutely worth it!

Thank you so much! 🙂. Ours wasn’t showing on the CVS site a month ago, so forgot about it.  I just checked again, and they are now there! Downloaded as pdf and saved to my electronic files.  
So now, Ms Over-Documenter has our cards, this electronic record and the paper shot record from the state of TN. 😂 We should be good to go for our cruise in December. 

Headed down to Houston today and my friend didn't have her vaccine card. We were only about an hour from home but figured would call CVS since they always advertised they would replace it. We were told they "no longer replace lost or damaged cards."  Anyway wasted a couple hours and picked up the original card but wanted to let people know that replacements may be am issue.

Yep, as @kadmgs mentioned, Hobby Airport is a lot closer to downtown and to Galveston than IAH is.  Just be careful where you book a hotel.

Hmmm... zip on legs ... you really are a bot!!! 

My shorts are hiking pants with zip on legs.  Shorts by day, long pants for the MDR then immediately back to shorts for the rest of the night.
I fly with them too.  Planes can be cold but when you land in Florida I can't stand having long pants on while lugging my luggage around so I get off the plane and immediately remove my zip on legs.  

Royal Caribbean can provide a pack and play, so no need to bring it. Just put request for a crib (that's what they call it) on your reservation.
