Make sure your name on the airline reservation matches the name on the TSA precheck. 

St Maarten - You can catch a water taxi ($7) near the pier and go to Great Bay beach within sight of the cruise ship. They have beach chairs to rent with umbrellas for $20. The ship excursion we did to Orient Beach had umbrellas with the chairs too. Orient beach is a nicer beach but after being to St Maarten many times we just take the water taxi across the bay.

Not being insensitive. I have lost to the virus itself. I lost one to complications from the intubation as well. I also knew many that it was barely as much as a cold. Then,   I have also lost to the vaccine. A healthy doctor friend passing away being one and my Fiance's brother being paralyzed for a few days made it clear that its not a walk in the park either. An "evil" so to speak.  It was forced upon us by a man made problem. Granted its a potential solution to a bad problem but it would be a lot nicer if it was never needed and the remote possibility of bad side effects wasn't there.

Look, I've said this elsewhere and probably in this thread as well. Those of us who have been loyal to RCG for decades and  who aren't getting any younger, our time in this world where we are still vital and active is ticking away. Meanwhile, we wait for the resumption of cruising from US ports. My take is that we're getting a raw deal on two fronts: (1) The CDC's unobtainable goal of requiring cruise lines to get the risk of COVID aboard their ships to near zero through a litany of complex and costly tasks. (2) RCG's lack of leadership in getting them eased and keeping their loyalists informed.
Admittedly, I don't know what is going on behind the scenes but this dance is ridiculous. It is becoming more and more obvious to me, anyway, that as time goes on this dance is being orchestrated at the corporate level. It is a marketing strategy to keep revenue flowing in through advanced bookings, sustained by falsely feeding our insatiable optimism that cruising is going to restart "very soon."  It amounts to stall tactics and should be called out. I'm calling it out.
I don't know about the rest of you but out of 7 planned cruises in the past year, all of them have been moved forward which means RCG has a lot of my money without any reassurances that I'm actually going to cruise in the next year.
Yes, I had options. Did many cruisers holding cancelled bookings ask for refunds?  Based on booking figures and optimistic outlooks for profits we get from corporate, Nope. Moreover, those predictions supported by investment analysts talking those profits up - propping stock prices up and keeping them tanking - makes it appear that folks pushing their chips forward to the next round of cancellations is a good bet. I'm seriously beginning to wonder about that.

Ohio is offering the Vacvine to everyone starting March 29 and the rest of the country isn’t that far behind. Time to cruise.

There is no way the US CDC would follow that rational line of thinking ?

Just because tens of thousands of people have successfully and safely cruised since last fall and through the “second wave” on multiple cruise lines does not mean it is safe to resume. If we allow this we at the CDC will no longer feel important and we cannot let this happen.

Four cruises, four stays at the Radison.  It's super convenient, and we like the layout.
Excellent pool and pool bar.   We park for the week, take the shuttle to and from the port.

My plan is for the J+J myself... Not perfect but seems the lesser of three evils.

We will not get a vaccine unless forced to and we will never ever get the mRNA vaccine under any circumstances.  We're waiting it out...

I just booked a B2B on the Voyager from San Juan in December 2022. My first experience with Royal Caribbean was on the Mariner. Up until that point, we had been cruising on Carnival but the Voyager class swayed me to Royal only cruises.
