Travel agents were informed today at 9:15AM that there is Breaking News to be announed to agents tomorrow.  Here was the message:

I can't contain my excitement, I have some late breaking news to share with you all! The anticipation is too much for me to wait another week to share this news so I will be switching up my previously planned Coffee Talk. Join me tomorrow Wednesday, March 17 at 12 p.m. EDT, for an exclusive Coffee Talk with some hot off the press updates. I guarantee this is a session you will not want to miss out on - I'd say this is the news we've all been waiting for!

No one knows what steps they will take to distance guests in CK in 2021.  Once Oasis class cruising restarts we will begin to see what impact it has on suite amenities.
In the past a JS guest on an Oasis class ship hasn't always been guaranteed reservations for the whole cruise on boarding day but this varies by ship.  In some cases JS guests could only make reservation on a day to day basis and on a space available basis.
Visit CK upon boarding and inquire to see how it will work for your cruise.

Diamond is not a qualifier for Coastal Kitchen or the Suite Lounge so Crown and Anchor status has no bearing.
Since you are in a JS you will be eligible for dinner in CK on a space available basis.  This does not extend to other non-suite cabins.  You can always ask and 98% of the time the answer will be no, but it never hurts to ask.
As far as the Diamond Lounge you can't extend that to non-Diamond either.  That is even more strictly enforced.  10 out of 10 times if you ask the answer will be no.

There is only one thing that Crown and Anchor has blessed as it relates to Diamond perks and non-Diamond members.
As a Diamond member you will have three drinks loaded on your SeaPass card for use at most bars from a limited "happy hour" menu.  This is typically from 5pm to 8:30pm or so.
Crown and Anchor has stated these "happy hour" drinks can be given to a non-Diamond.   You need to be at a bar to order the drink but then you can give that drink away.  This is in contrast to the Deluxe drink package that strictly does not allow sharing.  Some bartenders get confused or haven't been told that Diamond happy hour drinks can be gifted away so this can sometimes see some resistance.

As stated definitely ask the Coastal Kitchen host, the worst is a no, but for 1 night, toss in a celebration excuse, with a little "thank you" and it might happen.
I've heard someone doing a b2b one leg Jr Suite one leg Grand Suite and the host extended some Grand Suite perks on the Jr Suite leg. So, it's not uncommon.
Good luck and report your experience. Most of all enjoy CK. I've sailed Anthem 3 times in a GS and ate at CK twice. Biggest reason was friends and family onboard in steerage.

I was on the Harmony 2019 Thanksgiving week and a lovely family in front of us at the podium requested their mother join them as they were in a Grande & she was across the hall from them in an interior. She was one lady & one of the grandkids I believe and the host was most gracious and allowed the party to dine together all week;  all meals,  we even saw them "happy hour"  Go in expecting a possible no, but if you are gracious and kind a resounding yes just might be the case. I enjoyed the interaction and thought it was a warm moment, because at first I could feel their trepidation. A lovely time that Thanksgiving, oh how I miss sailing.

I know the Carrie B very well! I was stuck behind her this afternoon on the way up the river. There’s only one thing worse then being stuck behind the Carrie B and that’s the Jungle Queen. The captain on the Jungle Queen stops for nobody, if your in the way you are going to get hit.

We've lived in S. FL for 8 years mostly in Fort Lauderdale. We're now in Cocnut Creek about 20 minutes north. On Thursday, we were part of a group that gathered on the Carrie B that does a tour along the New River. This river passes through central Fort Lauderdale and branching off of it are multiple canals. The New River enters into Port Everglades and you can access both the intercoastal waterway and the Atlantic Ocean from the Port Everglades Cut.
We toured past multi-million dollar homes and mega yachts and had that very same look pictured above as we turned around and headed back West bound - an empty cruise pier and terminal. I cried.
That emotion stokes a good deal of my posting here. I know others are frustrated too so, I feel like I have a friendly ear to complain to. But we could be out of the woods with COVID globally barring some of the silly, non-science based policies affecting the cruising life we love. If only .....

I wanted to post this first on the message boards because so many of you have been so helpful, supportive and good friends since the launch of the message boards and I felt you all deserved to hear it first.

For a long time, Royal Caribbean Blog readers and podcast listeners have asked me one question, "How can I help the site?"

Certainly contributing content, spreading the word about the blog and checking the blog and podcast out daily is a great way to help and I value all of that assistance.  In fact, I cannot express how much that helps in the long run.

I've also been thinking about how to improve the site for everyone and it comes back to a dream I have for the blog.  My dream is simple: Produce interesting and helpful Royal Caribbean content consistently that people want to read and share.  And I would love to do it much more than I currently am able to do it.

To that end, I have lots of ideas for new exciting and informative information for this site but I need your help.

For better or worse, my ideas require financial backing to become a reality and there is only so much I can do with the way the site is now.  I also want to avoid, if at all possible, plastering the site with ads.

Therefore, I have created the Royal Caribbean Blog Insiders, a brand new exclusive group that can make Royal Caribbean Blog possible.

Through your financial support, we can grow this blog even more and continue to offer the kind of fun and helpful content I think so many of you have come to expect.

This is a purely voluntary action to take and I know how tough things are for everyone these days.  If it's not in the cards right now to help out financially, keep doing what you're doing here on the message boards and on blog's comments and in social media.

But if you can, there are a number of contribution levels you can join at and along with your assistance, there are some fun rewards for being a member of the Royal Caribbean Blog Insiders.

Becoming a member of the Royal Caribbean Blog Insiders is completely up to you and you can cancel at any time. No questions asked!

Take a look and consider if becoming an Insider is right for you: https://www.patreon.com/RoyalCaribbeanBlog

No matter what, I want to emphasize that I consider all of you my friends and I thank you for everything you have done and for being active here on the site.

There is no way the US CDC would follow that rational line of thinking ?

    Official statement would read....
Just because tens of thousands of people have successfully and safely cruised since last fall and through the “second wave” on multiple cruise lines does not mean it is safe to resume. If we allow this we at the CDC will no longer feel important and we cannot let this happen.
