53 days out for me. I have the covered parking reserved.  The new terminal looks amazing - thanks to everyone and especially @Galveston Stevefor all the updates along the way.
As someone who lives in Texas, I'm hoping that Galveston will be successful and the number and variety of cruises will increase.

We waited until about 2 weeks before the inaugural sailing and it was sold out. Had to book the North lot but we were able to park in the row adjacent to the covered area. I think the covered lot will be very popular and sell out for most cruises, especially in the summer months. I'm convinced the convenience and covering of this lot is worth the price (to me), so I've already booked it for my late January cruise just to make sure we can get in!

Definitely no issue from Nachi even with all berths occupied.  They will call a taxi for you when you're ready to leave and you shouldn't have to wait more than 10-15 mins.

We were in Cozumel in April with 6 ships in port and had no problems. The taxi system in Cozumel seems pretty well organized. We had to wait just a few minutes (no more than 15) for our return to port after our place called them. Does Nachi Cocom call the taxi for you? 

I'm pretty sure when I went to Nachi Cocom in 2019 that they called a taxi for us when we wanted to return to the port area.

Yes, Nachi calls the taxi. Same at Maya Chan in Costa Maya.

Disembarkation was incredibly easy, even better than Miami.

The distance from gangway to facial recognition to luggage is a matter of feet. It's a very short walk.

Terminal looks pretty impressive.  Huge contrast to the old terminals.  Great way to start an adventure.  

You’re welcome!  If I recall from the parking map, the slim white covered area you can barely see in front of the blue-covered parking, is bus drop  off.   And then cross street right into terminal.  
I’ll try to take pics of parking when I board Sunday, to update this thread.  OMG!  I’m boarding Sunday !!  My first Oasis class ship !

Thx for the welcome, SPS.  I did address my complaint while on board.  But was told nothing they could do about it.
Hey smokeybandit (I got one - a 1980 turbo Pontiac Trans Am).  Calm now typing here.  Was 'less' calm having to make multiple phone calls following up when I was told I would be contacted but never was.
And after exhausting the usual means first I find that I do have to escalate this to corporate, if able.  Not only not satisfied with what they called an offer but insulted by the way I was spoke to.  Definitely wasn't so calm then.

Thank you for this post.  We actually just booked Symphony for next summer, but board in Barcelona. After the fact, I realized that you could board in Rome or Barcelona on the same-ish sailing. I understand a bit more about it now thanks to this post. I am cruising with my mom. My mom rushed to  make a deposit before I could think through what I actually wanted to do. 

The attendant didn’t clean her room well yet seemed reluctant to leave her alone. I was on a sailing in the fall where the stateroom attendant would walk in on the wife of a man/woman couple when she was alone.  No knock.  She didn’t lock her room when alone because her husband might come back as she showered or napped   She also walked in on the attendant in their room-he had not propped their door open, it was not “cleaning  time” Apparently the attendant was a bit of a  “ look see”, after the 3rd time the husband had a “talk” with the attendant and he never entered the cabin unless it was cleaning time and they were out.  For those who have not experienced this type of unwanted advances/implications/inappropriateness consider yourself lucky.  Some people feel they can pray on women, young people, heck even older people, men…and get away with it.  unless you’ve experienced it it’s easy to say “this doesn’t happen on a ship”.
