Monitoring construction progression of Terminal 10 on the Live Galveston North Skycam Webcam.  But have yet to see progress on the parking lots and scheduled Covered North Parking Lot.  A little more than a month out for the initial cruise, I'm hopeful they are on schedule. Regardless, still cruising on the 27th!

We drove by last week and my husband said the same thing! Let's hope we see some concrete trucks soon.

I feel your joy! We received three negative test today too! Our first cruise since COVID.  I truly can’t imagine having suitcases packed and getting a positive.  I would be heartbroken.

Our January cruise was right in the middle Omicron. I didn't even get the suitcases out until we got our negative results!

  3. We enjoyed The Key on our last cruise because it was basically free due to Covid OBC. To me the best part was the early boarding and Chops lunch. It was very relaxing to go to a nice sit down lunch and not have to worry about eating lunch in the Windjammer. The menu was pretty small. Google "Chops lunch menu Royal Caribbean" & you can find pics of it.

I'm sorry if this question has been answered elsewhere in the forum, but I couldn't find my specific question with a search.  I've only cruised once (in Jan 2018) and we didn't have assigned boarding times then; I think we did some of the check in process online but not choosing boarding times.  How early in the day (45 days before cruise) should you do the online check in?  Do people stay up past midnight to be first and get the earliest boarding times?

Yep, they do. Make sure you're watching your clock in the same time zone as your embarking from. My theory is the quicker I'm onboard, the quicker the cruise begins.

I leave Sunday for a 7 day cruise out of Galveston on Liberty of the Seas.  I booked the cruise last min and the earliest check-in avail was 12:00 - 12:30.  I purchased the Key which comes with a lunch but I understand that it closes at 1:30.

I haven't cruised in about 40 years so timing to get on the boat is new to me.  Will I have time with a noon checkin to make it to the lunch?

I called Royal to get an earlier check-in and they could not accommodate but told me if I had the key I could check in at 11:30.  Have any of you with the Key been allowed in at 11:30 even though your designated time was earlier?

    Thanks!

There will be a separate check in line for The Key. Arrive at 11:30 and look the sign that says The Key and you'll zip right in.

  6. Try Galveston Saltwater Mom's. I've never used them because I live in Houston, but I've seen them mentioned in Facebook groups.

Just booked a cruise on Allure for January. Plan on flying into Houston Hobby the day before and just discovered Royal doesn’t have any options to get transportation from a hotel in Houston or Galveston. Has anyone solved this issue?  Is there an economical way?  We have the transfer for the end of the cruise from them. Does it make sense to go back to the airport on cruise day to use their shuttle?  Appreciate any advice.

This raised a question for me.  I just looked into my NAVICA account profile and it only gives me the option of putting in my first and last name.  My passport has my middle name included.  Does that make a difference?  My first name and last name in NAVICA is correct though, matches my Passport except it excludes my middle name.  I may be over thinking this!

When I did my test in January, the proctor would not let me continue because my middle name wasn't on my account. I had to hang up & go to my account and add my middle name on the same line as my first name, thus matching my passport.
