    I looked into doing a couple b2b short ones like a 3 and 4. It's still worth just booking a 7 nighter.

This is why I think they're doing them and why the new and bigger ships are getting more 3 and 4 night trips. Certainly makes sense, but I admit, it's a bummer to me as someone who has to fly to port, that so many ships are doing short ones. I was hoping to hop back on Freedom in 2025 but she's only doing 3 and 4 nighters....and b2bs don't end up being cost effective vs a standard 7-night (trust me I looked T_T)

Especially with theme park tickets the level they are now. For the price of a three-day park hopper at Disney, you could take a family on a cruise for the weekend.

I guess we got in just under the wire!
We received our Emerald pins on Harmony after visiting the Loyalty Ambassador during our January 28th - February 4th sailing!
    One more until Diamond!

That middle time will be filled up in nothing flat when booking opens by those who opt for fixed dining and like to eat at a reasonable time (that would be us - 5:00 is way too early and 8:00 is way too late).

VOOM not included on non-QN/OA/IC class is one of the things that bother me the most actually. It's actually the reason why I told myself that after my bookings for this year that I have on Voyager and Adventure (booked those upon release a long time ago) I am going to steer clear of the smaller ships, unless there is some steal of a deal. I used to be ok with considering a smaller ship, despite their lack of a CK/SL, VOOM, etc. because of the price difference. But the last few rounds of deployments, no way. Not worth it.

no freedom for me (was hoping she'd be doing longer voyages and was just not announced yet). Tossed a Navigator on the list. Doesn't look like Quantum will do longer than 6 nights.

A 3 night weekend cruise makes a lot of sense for someone who can drive to the port and enjoy a weekend away. They will pay a premium for it and probably spend more on board.

The downside for the cruise line is it has to be paired with a 4 night cruise during the week.  This makes far less sense for someone who has a job and wants to maximize their vacation time.
Cruise lines must have concluded that the advantages of the short weekend cruise are worth the trouble of dealing with the hard to fill week long cruise.
For me personally,  I'm not flying to a port for anything less than 6 or 7 nights. However, I will drive an hour for one if the price and timing are right.

Your wife and I would get along great. LOL I love fru-fru drinks! I plan on getting the refreshments package on my next trip so I can have a virgin daiquiri or pina colada whenever I want. I'm a sucker for anything fruity.

    In summary:
Jewel doesn't go to Europe, joins the short Florida market from Port Everglades doing 3/4 for the late spring and summer of 2025.
Wonder hangs around Port Canaveral doing 7 nights until the end of August then moves to Miami to start 3/4.
Freedom continues doing short Florida but with some 3/4/5/6 from Miami.
Utopia stays in Port Canaveral doing 3/4.
Liberty stays in Port Everglades doing short Florida 3/4.
    Quantum joins Navigator in LA.

short cruises are great if you can drive to the port. We have 3 nighters on Allure, Utopia, and Reflection booked this year but can easily drive. They are a nice taste of cruising in between the longer itineraries that require a week off work.

Think it also may be attractive to new cruisers.  Let them experience a cruise at a lower price and for a shorter time...Over a weekend might even be a bigger draw.
