it is 100% a better plan to get the 10 photos (or really any photo bundle) than to buy them individually. And you may not think you'll buy all 10 buuuuuut:
boarding photo 2 formal night photos 2-3 Port photos random beach/pool/mdr photos it's pretty east to find up to 10 that you like

I have 4/ 130 lb. hooks. Those should hold a shower curtain no problem. Thanks for the insight!

    Sorry, Patty.  I can't resist...
I have a mental image of the bartenders marching around the bar with signs saying, "WE WANT TIPS...WE WANT TIPS".

They will adjust appropriately but be warned it will take some loooong time before it's properly reflected. Maybe around springtime...
We had a cruise to Aruba, Curacao etc during the super high gas prices in 2021 and, to save on gas, the itinerary was changed so we left Aruba at like...9 PM or something instead of 11 PM. We had booked a late night excursion that was, with the new times, no longer going to happen or at least need to be changed...
It didn't even get pulled from the site for almost a month and it didn't get cancelled for us for almost 6 weeks after the change. Apparently all of the changes that happen on the site when a time changes are done manually and so, because of that, Royal adjusts things for sailings set to happen sooner.

NGL I only use this site on my computer where I have ad blockers installed. I've tried checking in on my phone before but, I agree with others, the ads take up sometimes 50% of the screen and pop up where I'm trying to scroll and now I'm opening something I didn't want to see

Hey all, happy Icon launch this week!
Few changes recently which I'll highlight below relating to Icon and a new section.
Shows at Sea: This new section will provide information for what is being performed on each ship. I was trying to book a new cruise and wanted to see something different which was why this section was born with links to each show. 🙂

Added link to 2025-2026 Opening Schedule Hooked now added to Icon of the Seas Fish & Ships now complimentary on Independence As always any feedback is greatly appreciated! 🙂

Adam Ruins Everything taught me that our(ie American) tipping custom actually dates back to gangsters and the like sliding extra money (aka bribery) to their servers for better service (and you know...to ignore the crimes happening probably). Then, when big bad bosses caught wind of this they figured..oh well why should I pay you when the customer is paying you?, so then they cut back on employees wages.
Only that practice stayed even though most of us aren't gangsters, because cutting employee wages nicely lines the pockets of corporate. And corporate always cares about corporate first.
So,  tipping wasn't/isn't about - do good and you'll get some undisclosed amount of money. If anything it was, "here's some extra money, keep serving me better than you do the others and I'll give you more of what you're already seeing"
So tipping up front and then adding more later...very classic way.

Also, modern tipping, in my view, should be a sign of appreciation for someone going above and beyond the expected services. So like when my stateroom attendant made towel animals every night, or made sure to keep our suite stocked with large coffee cups, or when they chased down to find our missing luggage. Things outside of their normal duties that they do because they want to make my experience better than average.

Anyway - here's the video. I think this is a clip from a longer show but i skimmed and it should talk about it and cite sources.

    Update on this topic:
I'm on Explorer and they did a similar lifeboat drill. The 2nd officer was watching,  so I asked about the Navigator incident.
He was familiar with it as the incident and corrective actions were shared with every cruise line worldwide.
If I understand correctly, the mechanics for the davits on Navigator went behind a "ceiling." I think this would better be described as a decorative panel,  but he called it a ceiling.  This made inspection of that portion of the mechanism impossible to inspect. Over time it corroded and failed catastrophically.
They have removed the ceilings and now inspect monthly for problems.

Watched it yesterday. I work at a port, under a bridge... we get a few jumpers a year, luckily we usually don't see the actual jump, but yesterday happened to be looking at the river when it happened. Wasn't 100% sure it was what I thought it was ...until the coast guard and police boats were out there within minutes... it's definitely a bit of a shock once you realize what just happened.
