Welcome Pippa & MD to the RCB!
Ditto on that Job too. I sit in front of 3 computer screens at work, but they make me do stuff for my cruise money.

This took me forever to figure it out as well. ? It is really easy once you know where to look.

Skid, thanks for this info! Not sure why, but I never noticed the 'ORDER HISTORY' link before. My eyes always go right to the 'CART'. I have been waiting for prices to go down before purchasing, but with this info, I will book now and then keep looking for a price drop. No, my preference would be to do this directly on the website and to not have to call. This is great. Thanks Again...

It is actually very easy. Go on cruise planner. At the top click on order history. Open the particular order you want and click cancel. Then just order again. Refund will be to original form of payment and will take a few days. If you had bought it using on board credit, that OBC will show in your account immediately so you can then use it for the new purchase. I have done it several times.
Of course, you can call also if you prefer.

YOLO reacted to MaritimeR&R in Diamond benefits extending to others in the cabin
I am Pinnacle and was staying in a balcony cabin. My friends are Diamond Plus. No one has ever asked to see my card, much less swipe it in the Suite Lounge, however I was told that as of a few months (it would have had to have been since Feb. 2019 - as I went in there then and no swiping was taking place) cards are being swiped for drinks in the Diamond Lounge. As of my sailing, there was no restriction placed on the Diamond Lounge # of drinks, but there was definitely no swiping going on in the Suite Lounge.
I just looked back at your comments...the concierge (who I know and he did not ask to see my sea pass) --- only the servers in the Lounge asked for it and swiped it when I ordered my diet coke.

YOLO reacted to ChessE4 in Diamond benefits extending to others in the cabin
I use @YOLO 's strategy and was never asked to produce a sea pass except when the door was already propped open, like formal night. There was such a large crowd that they checked IDs on the Harmony outside. It could be Adventure of the Seas was trying something new....

Was this this first time you walked into the Diamond Lounge on this cruise? I always say "Hi" to or at least catch the Concierge's eye when I walk in. My experience is once they engage with you for the fist time then they will recognize (and not bother) you for the rest of the cruise...

YOLO reacted to BrianAlt in Anthem 5/23/19
Hey everyone. I'll be on the May 23rd sailing on Anthem of the Seas, 9 Night Bermuda & Caribbean Cruise. I'll be traveling with my family, my parents and my sister. We'll be celebrating my parent's 75th birthdays.
Just wondering if anyone else was sailing then and interested in saying HELLO?
Hope everyone is well. Chat more soon.

YOLO got a reaction from andy in Introduce yourself!
@andy If you are interested in the podcast, you can listen on your computer right from this RCB website. Here is the link: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/podcast
Also, good job on booking some of the shows in advance. With ~6000 passengers on board, not everyone can see the shows at the same time. I usually book the best show times first, and then make my dinner reservations second. Sounds like you are off to a great start!

YOLO reacted to monctonguy in RCCL vs CELEBRITY
Agreed...much better offers with Celebrity based on resident rates than ever with Royal....not sure I have ever even seen one with Royal tbh.

Another difference... Celebrity does tend to offer resident rates more than Royal. Definitely take the time to enter your state when looking at rates on Celebrity.

YOLO reacted to JLMoran in RCCL vs CELEBRITY
The other big difference between Royal's and Celebrity's loyalty plans is how the points are earned. Royal is a simple 1 point per night, 2 points for suites or solo. Celebrity scales the points based on the room level (all point values x2 if traveling solo):
Inside and Ocean View = 2 points per night Verandah = 3 points per night Concierge or Aqua class = 5 points per night Sky Suite = 8 points per night Higher suites = 12 per night (18 for the two highest suite classes) Between that and the much larger number of points to reach each level in X, it's almost certainly better / more cost effective if you've already got some loyalty build-up with Royal to just get to Diamond, then start sailing X regularly. You can get to Diamond on Royal by sailing 80 nights in an Inside cabin, 40 nights if you sailed solo; whereas reaching Elite on X would take 150 nights in Inside cabins (75 if solo), or if you book only Verandah rooms you can do it in 100 nights (50 if solo). Of course, if you're a "high roller" when it comes to cabins and you never settle for less than Concierge class, you can get there in "just" 60 nights; but I shudder to think how much more you may have paid to get that rapid rise.
