  1. To me it's crazy thinking. We thought sitting empty makes zero money, same thing we saw on Barefoot Beach. The structure is just sitting there, just waiting to make some $$.  Just price so they sell out every sailing some profit is better than none. I can't fathom the fact that the price doesn't include beverages, at least waters and soda as well.

  2. 3 hours ago, Sweety said:

I usually do a B2B, but the prices are too high. I have Adventure August 2.

I second this. The inaugural prices were high. I have never sailed one and wanted to experience it. While I wished it was a longer sailing if it was I for sure would not have been able to book it. If I enjoy the ship I'll go ahead and sail her again some time later in the future .... when the pricing is better.

  3. I was able to finally purchase my Evian water, limited dining still & no railway. The prices this morning on Coco Cay especially the Beach club have come down some. I guess Allure passengers aren't paying those sky high prices either, still high as in 180.00 per person for entry (no thank you) and the cabanas have come down a bit there also, just under 3,000 for a beach cabana (again, no thank you)

We have never done a stand alone 3 night sailing, we usually paired it for a B2B but at this point the cost is prohibitive with everything else we have going on. May take a page from @OCSC Mike Oasis Pool, lunch and back on the ship for Coco Cay visit.

I just wish Royal would even tease some more information on the Railway experience.

  4. Nothing, I contacted RCCL and they said keep checking! Thanks 4 nothing Royal Customer care.

Update this morning, Saturday March 30....

Gifts & Gear is new this morning BUT only on the app it seems. I don't have it on my desk top. Nothing else except a few Nassau & Coco Cay offerings, beach beds starting at 399.00 & cabanas way up there. Missing from the offerings Hideaway Beach, nothing offered maybe sold out already? Maybe stopped selling in order for a special gathering of invited guests only? It's anyone's guess. We are on the Island with Allure I believe.

Please, anyone on this sailing post when you catch some new offerings. Thanks so much!!

  5. Re: Smoking on balcony, our Wonder sailing our cabin was next to the accessible cabin. Marijuana permeated the upstairs bathroom, forget the balcony. Some days in the beginning were intolerable.

Caveat, I know this is a big no no but they indeed needed that cabin, I felt maybe they used it for pain. It slowed down as the week went on, but my allergies detest smoke of any kind, ugh that sailing!

A tiny part of me thinks I should give Wonder another try, a bigger part is like, no I'm good.

Thanks for sharing the photos, you look so happy, so blessed. It's wonderful to be able to sail with the ones you love.

  6. @TexanTwoStep we are sailing the week after you, I just cancelled our jet ski  excursions for the same reason. I hope beyond measure that the Island calms and peace is restored but I can't fathom Royal visiting again until there is resolution AND the stigma of the unrest has gone. I believe that may take some time. I love Labadee but having Royal hold my monies to just return later, no thanks...fingers crossed the Island heals soon.

NOTE: I just realized my sailing to Haiti is on my Adventure August 16th sailing not the 7th of June...I still cancelled.

  7. @TheoneandonlyMICAH We just moved our 4 night Utopia to the 3 Night because they changed the inaugural sailing. This one is in July & I already know 3 nights will go by like Ricochet Rabbit (yes I'm old) I was looking for something short to add to it as I wasn't interested in staying on and doing a B2B on the same ship. Long story short I know I'm going to really enjoy the 8 nights, I have my fingers crossed and hopes up they have some type of tribute band onboard, now that would be icing on the cake. 79 days to go, heck I am even looking forward to checking in!

I can not believe how much the prices have risen for this sailing; wowza!

I'm looking forward to seeing the Icon parked next to us at Coco Cay, I'm not excited by the amount of people on the Island with us. This should be an interesting day! Kiddos friend from school will be on the Icon though so we will meet them for the girls to hang out together for the day. Fun times!!

We did stick with our 1200 Chops embarkation reservation as @WAAAYTOOO suggested to start in a relaxed way. I like her idea of hitting deck 10 quickly for our sea pass cards to enter the lounge spaces upstairs early, I usually sit with the back packs & soak it all in.

@smokeybandit sounds amazing, have an fantastic sailing. Is there a good CD? Can. Not. Wait!

  8. It's a very fine line, right?

I follow a DCL concierge only guy as he is so interesting, not only his experiences but even his home that he shares gorgeous photos of. He ONLY sailed the most expensive suites on DCL every ship all the time. The new DCL itineraries just came out for 2025 and he reported first time ever he wasn't booking DCL he was booking the ICON. I almost fell out of my chair. I was like wow, Congratulations Royal you are hitting your goal, But..

Royals goal of pulling away from DCL is working beyond their wildest imagination I'm sure, BUT they need to be careful of alienating the rest of us. I always felt Royal was an amazing product for the price.

This morning I was looking at NCL... just saying. Just looking, but still....

I don't begrudge RC making money by any means, but my last experience I felt changes that I didn't exactly love. Oh well, I'll have to keep testing one sailing at a time.
