Royal Caribbean's refund math is notoriously wonky with no explanation of where the numbers come from. But as long as you're confident the total amount refunded is correct, there shouldn't be any reason to worry. The excursion still showing up will most likely clear out soon.

You all show up at the same time.  If they (security/port staff) try to turn you away explain the situation and see if they’ll make the exception.

This makes perfect sense. If RC is rewarding you for your loyalty, you have to maintain your loyalty.

As we’ve aged our C&A status is one the main reasons we sail on Royal as much as we do.  RCL has the best loyalty program at sea.  Back in the day RCL used to give you 1 cruise point per sailing.  They shifted to 1 (or 2) per day at sea to differentiate types of cruises.  Tweaks might happen but there should never be any thought of following mis-managed Disney into any area of change.

I wonder in RCL ever thinks about mirroring the matching benefits on Celebrity (yes, I’m aware of the current match program - not good enough).  I’m a D+ who will never make Pinnacle.  If I got my 5 drink coupons per day I might make a permanant shift to Celebrity freeing up cabins on RCL for families with kids.

Such a shame there's no connection, rail or bus, from Brightline to Port Canaveral

Honestly it doesn't hurt to ask the concierge once you get the email from them. We get a dinner voucher from our travel agent but it can't be applied via the cruise planner and is supposed to be active only once onboard but twice now, we've booked reservations through the concierge via email before boarding. It's great. I think they can do some onboard stuff for you given that they themselves are onboard.

Twangster's entire comment was correct, but this part is spot on. "Rebating" is a hot topic here because it's a competition between small, independent agents/agencies (such as MEI) and big box stores (like Costco or Amex Travel).

This is true and varies by agency, as well as what percentage Royal Caribbean pays the agency (the more volume you do, the higher the commission percentage).
So yes, repricing to a lower fare affects commission (as does adding a casino code, which DRASTICALLY affects commission, don't get me started on that one).

Bottom line- We still stand by our service, and we have to get paid. I simply cannot give away $300 when I'm making $200.

On my five cruises from San Juan Puerto Rico, but all pre-covid, checking is just like all other ports in the 11am to noon range for earliest ones.
The ship still arrives around 7 am and begins disembarkation as soon as cleared, have alway been to airport by 10:30 am.  Biggest concern from San Juan has been those the check luggage for their flights as most airline will not accept luggage until 4 hours before flight departure.  This has been my experiance.

I think there's a misconception by a decent number of cruisers that if you know what you're doing, what you want, and like to plan/research on your own, there is no use for a TA in that case... and that couldn't be further from the truth.

I will join in on the TA All The Way crowd but I will also note that all TAs are not equal.  Many, many, many people start looking for a TA and are attracted by OBC or free goodies (specialty dining, etc.).  Be careful !  Those that hand out trinkets are not always the best "reservation managers" as @smokeybandit put it.  I'm not suggesting that all big box agencies are awful, but some are.  If you are looking for personalized, responsive and reliable service, I recommend a TA NOT from one of the big box/online agencies.  We have used MEI in the past and highly recommend them.

Well I'll go ahead and say yes, I believe it because it occurred on my cruise recently, as well. Multiple reports of stolen magnets and eventually security watched cameras, saw the kids doing it and went to the room later to confront them. Retrieved the magnets (the kids claim they thought magnets were put out as a scavenger hunt type thing) and gave the parents a warning,

This post reminds me of one of my favorite cruise pastimes - walking the halls early in the mornings to admire magnets/door decor. If I find one I really like, I take a photo on my phone for posterity's sake. In fact, I found a magnet once that I loved so much I immediately went and found it online to purchase. Just can't fathom stealing a magnet - I'd have that constantly hanging over my own conscience whenever I looked at it.

Stealing a magnet for the grandkids?  What a terrible excuse for a human.
I stopped bringing magnets because of magnet thieves.  Still bothers me that people think they can just take other people's hard earned things, even something as small a magnet on a door on a cruise ship.  To think she was going to present it to her grandkids so they would look up to her and think what a wonderful person she was for thinking of them while in reality she was nothing but a common thief.  Hopefully she is banned from Royal.  No room for criminals on board.

It can happen, I got a GS once on a suite GTY but it's usually JS and sometimes an accessible JS which I don't prefer myself.

Unfortunately I doubt if you will get higher that Jr Suite because they will offer Royal Up's to suite guests.  They will bid on larger suites leaving Jr suites left.
