Never have seen a balcony room 50 percent obstruction. Do you have any pics because I feel this is exaggerated a lot!

My best friend and I will be going on this one! My fourth cruise (third on Royal Caribbean) and my friend’s first cruise! Can’t wait!

Wow. Just wow.
The only thing I see RCCL did that is questionable was to let you board in the first place.  
They gave you a second cabin.  You only paid for one.
RCCL is not responsible for your relationship.
Of all the ridiculous complaints I've seen from first time posters, this one takes the cake.
Suck it up buttercup.  You and your friend ruined your vacation... not RCCL.

I fail to see where any of this is the fault of Royal Caribbean. 

I do want to be positive, so I want to add that I do like the idea of a theme night. The Windjammer gets theme nights and having a "Caribbean" night in the MDR with caribbean-themed dishes or maybe even an Indian night is a good idea. There, I can be positive, too.

I personally think some people are building it up to be way worse than it will actually be. There may no longer be a classic menu, that doesn't mean that each night won't have one of two mainstay items that would be considered classic. This change doesn't mean you will not be able to find anything you love; it just means consistency. I very much would prefer things taste the same across ships. I also would like to actually get drinks on time and not wait 40min between app and entree and then another 40 before I get dessert. 

Lovely, so now all the options I'd get many nights are gone. Thanks, RC, making me feel really loved here. Oh wait, they only cared about the opinion of "new customers." And, what, now you can't ask for anything to be changed? Can't ask for anything additional? How long until you can't even have multiple dishes to try out? How long until you don't get to choose more than two options? Heck, if they really wanted the MDR faster, just have one dish that's already on the table when you get there. I know I'm being ridiculous and I'm sure I'll get over it, but I hate seeing options scaled back. To me, it just looks like taking away value and once companies start doing this stuff, it doesn't end.

I agree the amenity is usually repeats of what they have in the d lounge.  But I do love the strawberries the most.  The amenity I received on the Grandeur last week was a shrimp scampi, salmon w/ cream cheese, and grapes.  I'm not sure who would want to eat warm fish on a plate that could have been plated hours earlier unrefridgerated.  Maybe that's why they had a major Gastro virus outbreak on hat cruise.

The Fence Repair - Australian style !!!
  
 
Three contractors are bidding to fix a broken fence
at Government House.
 
One is from Cabramatta, another is from
Marrickville, and the third is from Lane Cove.
 
 
All three go with an official to examine the fence.
The Cabramatta contractor takes out a tape measure
and does some measuring, then works some figures
with a pencil.
 
"Well," he says, "I figure the job will run about $900,
$400 for materials, $400 for my crew and $100 profit
for me."
 
The Marrickville contractor also does some measuring
and figuring, then says, "I can do this job for $700.
That's $300 for materials, $300 for my crew and $100
profit for me."
 
The Lane Cove contractor doesn't measure or figure,
but leans over to the government official and whispers,
"$2,700."
 
The official, incredulous, says, "You didn't even measure
like the other guys. How did you come up with such a
high figure?"
 
The Lane Cove contractor whispers back, "$1000 for me,
$1000 for you, and we hire the guy from Marrickville to
fix the fence."
 
"Done!" Replies the government official.
 

My mind still thinks I’m 20, so when I’m eating lunch in the windjammer, I make chili dogs with the yellow liquid cheese they have right next to the hot dogs.   If that’s the cheese you’re referencing, I don’t think it’s supposed to be nacho flavored.   I always expected a bland velveeta type cheese and have never been disappointed. 
 
I like the Windjammer because I can let my creative side come out and put together a plate of different foods that makes total sense to me.  My wife just thinks I’m weird.  I have to watch out or she’ll take pictures, post on social media, and title it “Look what Ted’s eating today”. 🤷‍♂️

The line starts at the end where the plates are!  Hello!
On the flip side, when people are queuing in the wrong direction is it really cutting in line?
Nothing worse than a line monitor in the WJ!

Not sure why an 11 year old needs to wander the ship unsupervised.  Our kids and grandkids stayed in the area with us or at AO.  If they wanted to swim, we went to the pool deck, flow rider/slides we went & watched, food, ok if we were on the pool deck, they could go grab WJ food, a fountain drink or ice cream and bring it back to eat.  Nothing good comes of roving bands of preteens.  Don’t have to be glued to you but in sight 👍

This, while this new tech is certainly convenient I survived just fine without it as a kid traveling with parents/grandparents. It's called rules and set free time and as I recall I knew how to pay attention to the clock at age 11, or there would be consequences to any future free time. Granted we also may live in amore dangerous time than the early eighties where that's concerned yet I feel the danger still existed thus I wasn't given a very long leash when traveling far away or in bigger cities. And I would think it's a bit safer on cruise ship where you're not going to get far and there are plenty of concerned citizens around that would likely intervene if something looked off to them.
