Not at all my experience in our 2 trips this year. I probably had 10 drinks on cococay last month and only went to the bar for one of them. We were either at the pool or on South Beach

There are people all over the island coming to take your drink order. Even while in the pool.

Liberty does (Deck 8, aft), but it's a very lonely place. Walked past it to get to our room.

Yes. Please get rid of the 70s night. Those who were 20 in the 1970s are now 64-73, well outside of Royal Caribbean's target demo. Keep the walkers and canes off the dance floor. Would also like to see some rock bands playing more songs from the 90s+. Less caribbean style bands, more up and coming / little known American rock bands.

We start at 20%, but usually round up. Some restaurants we eat at the bar, bartenders know us by name and we get certain benefits from that relationship so I've gone 30% or so. Also, if you are in a situation where a portion of the meal is free (buy 1 get one free, food taken off because it wasn't right, etc) tip based on what the cost should have been. The server is working just as hard regardless of bill adjustments.

Last week on Liberty, we saw someone getting off with what I would say was all of his luggage. When we left port they appeared to still be waiting for someone then eventually loaded up the ramp and we left. It wasn't the typical loading up right after the last person gets on. We assumed it was the guy who left with his luggage. He wasn't being escorted off so I don't think the cruise line kicked him off.

WiFi calling. Don't need to use the cell service. I was getting election spam calls during the week in airplane mode. Thankfully, I don't think many people know this yet. Next time you get or make a call when connected to WiFi look at the call status, most likely the call is going over wifi even if you are not in airplane mode (if WiFi calling is enabled, which I believe by default it is).

Always use MyTime Dining. Set our dining time as 7:15 each night when we booked. Day 1 on the cruise we just finished we asked for a specific table as we were walking to another. No problem. Upon exit, we asked them to reserve that same table for us every night of the cruise. Again, no issues. Showed up every evening around 7:05-7:10 and never waited more than a minute or 2 to be seated.

My thoughts on Liberty OTS so far.
PL8SWPR replied to RCIfan1912's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Last night on Liberty finishing up the 6 night Western Caribbean and Cococay trip sandwiched between leaving NJ and 3/4 night Bahamas trips. Ship is in good shape. The hull is clean, seemingly freshly painted. The railings on deck 4 received new varnish this week. Some of the balcony railings below deck 8 could use some though. Had a young server team of Andrew and Christian in the MDR who were outstanding. No dinner lasted more than an hour with one at 45 minutes. Had My Time dining and requested the same table every night for our reservation without issue. No regrets booking this older ship at all. -
No complaints on Mariner. We were on Mariner in Jan. We did have one of the newer rooms on deck 11 (I think) around the Spa so things were newer. Having a Playmakers was nice. Mariner is a good ship and budget friendly compared to the newest.
