Cruise ship TP will always be thin due to the plumbing system 

I understand. My hubby is distressed that we have balcony cabins (side by side) booked with my sister and aunt for AK next year. 🤣 He has gotten used to JS at a minimum. 
He just asked me again a bit ago about Royal Up, and was disappointed I told him no (yet again) that we booked close together and would be separated. 😂 He is hoping to catch me in a weak moment.
It is hard to go back, isn’t it?

We just got back from Alaska on Ovation and had an amazing time.
My only complaint was the toilet paper (geez that's some rough thin paper)😉
The crew members were outstanding, my survey took me a bit to get in all the names.
So we stayed in a Jr Suite ( just James and I) for the first time.
We decide to try Europe again so we go to the NextCruise to book (learned it's just better to book direct with my TA Kelley from MEI)
I asked about 2 connecting OV balconies, my husband stops me and says Jr Suites or higher. 🤯
He said he really enjoyed the space and was not going smaller.
We now are booked in a 2 bedroom GS, it's the only 2 bedroom Rhapsody of the Seas had available.
I know Rhapsody does not have the perks bigger class ships have but we are ok with that.

And in Skagway, if the border is open, renting a car to drive out to the Yukon is amazing and allows stops that the train doesn’t.  We plan to do this again next year, as long as the border is open. 🙂

I know a couple of people who have had success with very low bids, i havent tried personally since im more about getting on board and putting the money towards the drinks than i am upgrading a room i only plan to use to sleeping 🙂

Just got back from our Ovation of the Seas 8-27-21 to 09-03-21 sailing to Alaska.
We bid for a 1-BR GS booked a Jr Suite.
From multiply sources was told at 40% capacity
I did bid 5% more than min
I got the email at 5:06pm the day we boarded the ship, we boarded at 12 noon, we did not win.
Little slow on the emails but I was totally happy with the room I booked and so not a big deal. 

Well.. I’m sailing on Odyssey today (9/5) and my royal up for a JS (in a o/v balcony currently) is still pending.. I actually was able to modify it as well.. so I bumped up my offer on a JS to 75pp from 60.. if it’s still pending when I board.. I’ll ask guest services to see if they know and/or can do anything.. 

They claim you can modify a bid up to 3 hours before boarding!

We had an amazing time!

This older lady who had a walker with a basket and in the basket was fur-real cat and a huge horn.
You could hear her all over the ship, she would honk that horn if she felt you were in her way.
My daughter and I got on an elevator, as my husband was about to step on and there she was.  
She honked that horn at him and he jumped about a foot off the ground.
We saw/heard her at customs on disembarkment day wearing 20 different crew badges (DD counted them)

I was born and raised in Florida until I went to college here in NC.
We would swim in the ponds with gators, crazy because I wouldn't let my daughter do it nowadays.  Back in the 70's that's just what we did.
