Someone mentioned they liked old pictures of RCL ships.  Here are a few shots of the Majesty Of The Seas from our honeymoon the first week of May 1994.  We cruised from Miami on May 1st for 7 nights  - Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Ocho Rios Jamaica and CoCo Cay.
 
 

I tried. I didn't have them on my door for 2 hours before one of them disappeared.

Yes, it will be made for the most part individually in a blender. Sometimes if multiple people order one they might make a larger batch, still it is blender made.
Also some ships and even bartenders might blend in rum then add a floater while other might just add the rum to the bottom of a glass then added the blended drink on top of it.

Hello everyone.  I am new here.  In fact, I just signed up to this forum four minutes ago.  This after browsing for a little while.  Looks like a great deal of information from experienced folks.  Way to go!
I have never been on a cruise ship, of any sort.  But, one day I will.  I've seen some interesting videos that talk about the ALLURE, OASIS, SYMPHONY, and such.  I think if I do go... I want to be on one of the biggies! 
Okay, let me get to my question.  Regarding drinking.  If I order a pina colada, will someone there be making one in a blender?  Y'know, a really really good pina colada?  Just asking.  Here, in Las Vegas, most of the casinos (and, some restaurants too) just have the slushy machines & they throw in a shot of rum.  They're very so-so.  But, they let a bartender make a pina colada in five seconds.  Blah.
Anyhow, this is my first post... sorry if it was too wordy.  Thank you!!!

We are on the Sympthony this August and have never been to St Kitts or St Thomas and wondered what the best excursions for a good look at the islands were - RCL or otherwise.  We are a family of four with two rounded teens.

+1 for Thenford Grey Tours!   Did a Grand Tour with him last time we were on St. Kitts, and had a wonderful time.  He is a walking encyclopedia of information on the island.

The scenic railway is interesting and different but waaaytooo long, IMO

This was the dry dock to repair damage from the crane accident. This was not the scheduled Amp dry dock, that will occur this Fall. Welcome to the boards! ?

The Oasis is back in service, right? Did I miss an announcement on what the changes are? Or was this a different drydock - I saw another post that said Oasis wasn't getting Amplified until September 2019.

Although I cannot answer that specific question, I think it will be worth your time to check out Thenford Grey Tours for St. Kitts. He owns the family business and he is the best tour guide we have ever had (although anyone you get will be great). He has soooo many great reviews and has several different excursions to choose from. We did the Grand Tour and loved it, as did several other people we know. Details and costs are on his website.

When I've stayed in a Grand or Loft suite I've sampled much of the menu ($7.95 fee waived for full suites).  The food is pretty good.  The Royal Hamburger is actually very good and not just a windjammer burger.  
The fee is per order so for less than $10 it's a solid choice and nice way to enjoy a meal on a balcony.  

Typical room service menu:

Coffee options are caffeinated or decaffeinated.  
Mimosa and Bloody Mary's are available at a cost even if you have a drink package or drink card.
Beyond that, the SO is heading to the coffee shop on board.

Not to offend anyone, BUT ...Containers? Ziplock bags? Come on people! You are on vacation and not on the "Trailer Park Trash of the Seas"!! Use the plates. That's what they are there for.

Slightly off topic but we are on Freedom this week and the ship’s water is skunky. This is only the second time in all of our cruises that the ship’s water was undrinkable (to me). The other time was on Liberty but after a couple of days Liberty's water got better.  Not so on Freedom. You can even smell the “moldy” smell in the shower.  Luckily we have the UDP so have been able to get bottled water for drinking. Is the ship’s water unsafe ?  Obviously not as many are drinking it but I think it stinks and I’m not going to drink it. If I did not have the UDP not sure what I would do but it’s not an issue since we do have the pkg. 
So, if you’re the least bit picky about your drinking water you might consider a pkg just to have the option to drink bottled water exclusively if you have a question about the ship’s drinking water.

After tons of research, I finally booked our cruise!! We will be going May 2020 on Symphony!! It's only our second cruise and first to the Caribbean...and first on Royal Caribbean.  We are beyond excited....My brother in law, sister in law, and niece are going...Also, my mother in law is going and she got a junior suite and is paying for our daughter and my niece!  I just had to share!  ?

And it is.....I figure about 98% of the ship is smoke free now....:)

Former smoker here, and I cant stand the smell of it, it also gives me headaches.  When I smoked I became used to it.  Now after close to 10 years of not smoking I cant stand being around it.  My dad smoked and I was stuck in the smoking area of airplanes, restaurants, in the car, in our house.  I fully agree that culture has become what I was calling "baby gated" before I heard the term snowflake.  But, people not wanting to have cigarette smoke around them is something I do not throw into that category.   The smell is very offensive, the stink sticking to your clothes.  Others shouldn't have to deal with that just so smokers can get their fix.  Im not saying ban it 100% but contain it to a few places.
