I'm scratching my head what type of argument somebody could have during checkin to end a 20 year friendship. Usually people are quite happy at time as their getting the ship

On a recent Marella cruise you picked up your sea pass card from your muster station, if you didn't go to your station, no room access and no drinks. Didin't hear any announcements chasing people to complete their muster drill.

I like the upgraded cabin idea.  Try a balcony!  AC issues or not, interior rooms feel like caves to me.  I need sunlight & fresh air!  If the room is too warm, the balcony will be more comfortable than sleeping in the Centrum!!!

It's a great idea, cruising is special, quality time with the ones you love is something that must be put on the front burner. Given your criteria the MEI TA may previously have a group booking known to them or manage to create something so wonderful you will have renewed faith. You were not meant to work with that ugly person, please don't give up. 
And like previous posters have opined, your reservation confirmation comes right away, book that sailing and don't pay the entire balance until it's due date that way you will be able to take advantage of price decreases and favorable promotions.

Thanks for coming back.  When you say "the room you've been allocated", did you choose a GTY Balcony?  Otherwise you would select your room.  When choosing the lower price of the GTY, I think it should be expected that you will be given what is left in that category.  It appears that in the UK, you aren't able to change after a GTY has been assigned.
This is certainly not a scam.  Deck plans are made available.  These reviews exist prior to your booking.  Also, sometimes people want the warmth but not the direct sunlight while others might want easy access to the amenities on decks 14 and 15 on Anthem.
I'm sorry you feel taken advantage of.  I'll join the others who recommend you use a good travel agent for your next cruise whether it be with RCL or another line.

Way, way over dramatic. It's nearly impossible to end up stressed, tired and feeling ill after a cruise unless it ended like Titanic in 1912. If the cabin caused that then cruising probably isn't for you. If a cabin did all that then most vacations might be an issue for you. 
Again, something very, very strange about these posts. Sorry, that's just how I read it.

Hi I posted a summary at the end if you don't want to read the whole thread!
So we were told by our waiter today was their first day of the new menus on Adventure. 
It was a mixed bag.
Apps: tomato soup good,, crab cake INEDIBLE cold mush, and I am from Maryland, shrimp cocktail fine,Caesar quite good. 
Mains: fish was mushy and odd tasting, fried chicken mushy too though the honey is a nice touch. The steak was good, the carrots with it were excellent, broccoli good. 
Our waiter was sweet but the captain was perturbed we asked for replacements on the crab and fish.

Wonder if the hot tubs have seen this kind of action ?

There have been some pictures posted from ships of the new menus that now have the chef's recommendations repeated in the entree section that did not have it like that on the ones Matt put out.

I understand that RCG is already working on Grand Bahama. Having spend several weeks there, I believe it has lots of potential. Friendly folks who welcomed us.

Nacho cheese is pasteurized American cheese w/ seasoning and canned. Think Velveeta in a can.  This is pretty far from real cheese as it gets.
