carry on storage on Harmony of the Seas

We are taking our family of 10 in October on a 7 night cruise.  We know each adult can bring 1 bottle of wine and we can bring 12 bottles of water per cabin.  I am trying to get organized with all that all 10 of us (3 are young children) will be bringing on board in our carry on since they don't allow water bottles in our luggage.  If I divide up for each of us 6 water bottles in our carry on and 6 of the adults carry on an additional wine bottle, this is 10 carry ons which are going to be VERY heavy since there will be other carryon items in the bags as well.  We can't be the only people that have had this problem.  We don't want to shlep around 10 carry ons with all that weight in each until we get our room available to drop them off.  We want to just have FUN and enjoy the early time we have made for our check in and move around the ship without carrying 10 heavy bags.  Has anyone else had this problem?  We need a place to drop off these heavy carry ons...Is there an answer to this situation?

I have seen families schlep their carry on water, soda and wine in a variety of ways. They do not have storage available for carry on before the rooms open, so you will need to drag them around. You may want to consider consolidating the drinks in to one bag on wheels or maybe not carry on water and just order the bottled water package which is delivered to your cabin.

The only way to get around this would be to purchase The Key. This would allow you to get on board with your carry-ons, and then you can immediately go to the carry-on luggage drop off area for Key guests. They will then hand deliver that to your room so that way when you are able to get to your room, it will be waiting for you. However, it's pricey per day and you have to get it for every person in your room. It may not be worth it; in fact, it might just be cheaper to buy the water package and have it already in your room. Just a thought!

We lugged water on one time and promptly realized it’s a pita and worth the money a water package costs to not be saddled with the weight.

Side note: trying to negotiate around people who have lots of big suitcases with them on embarkation day is a pita too
