Finally received refunds today related to cruises that were cxl'd in March.  Can't figure out all of the amounts though.

I tend to agree with you, which it seems most don’t, look if I am on a 5 to 9 day cruise, that 20 to 30 minutes to maybe save one of our lives seems very minor, do I like standing their in the sun waiting, of course not, but i actually would rather be outside for a few minutes than inside in case of an emergency and not know where to go. I tell people that go with us on a cruise for the first time, after the drill is over it’s sun, fun and excursions for a week. Just my opinion, but I can give up a few minutes before the fun starts.

We enjoy breakfast in the windjammer, so many choices, don’t eat dinner there but on days at sea will grab lunch there and as so many have said, kind of tradition to start our cruise with lunch in the windjammer, but mostly would miss the great breakfast choices.

When I married my wife 10 years ago, I took her on her first cruise (my 5th).  She only saw the upfront cost and didn't believe it.  Then we did a trip to Universal Studio... She was sold on the cruises after that.  Especially with dinner every night... Where do we want to eat tonight?  Same restaurants, same food... On the ship... same dining room, new food!  And we didn't have to deal with "the food was really good at that restaurant, but the prices were so high!"  I just want to relax and enjoy the vacation.
I have every confidence the cruise industry as a whole will be OK in the long run.  But I am anxious to get it moving again.

I was on a call today and we were told that in reality it is taking them more like 45 business days on the first round to complete the cancellations and while they have put that out for the other two rounds, they hope that they can do those faster.  Royal is supposed to be sending an apology to all guests as well.
Not posting this for people to attack on it, or comment really... Just wanted to post it somewhere so people would see this and maybe ask for everyone to be understanding of those that are working on all of these cancellations.  The person that you call in at the call center is not the person that is working on the cancellations.  Your Travel Planner does not have a way to speed the process up.  This is a Pandemic that was not planned for and everyone that is left working is working hard to process these cancellations.

+1 on that.  $3281 off on my RLS for that sailing.  Same thing, second reduction in a matter of weeks.

I was in contact with my Travel Agent last night.  She told me that many cruises are seeing significant price reductions - particularly for the high end suites.  It might be worth everyone who's interested's effort to take a bit of time and do some research.   I know our Star Class Symphony August 2022 cruise was reduced by $2300 last night.  This was the second such significant reduction in the past 2 weeks on this cruise.  I'm sure there are others.  Might be a good "buying" opportunity.

True story - went to Total Wine to replenish my Staying At Home inventory yesterday.  Pull into parking lot, park car, put on face mask and promptly try to drink from a water bottle before leaving my car.  Didn't work out very well.

I believe "one" of a number of purposes for the muster is to provide & attend the  physically location, while in a state of calm, so passenger will be aware of the location & possible path to take, to reach that location, should a dire emergency present itself, in the mist of potential nervousness, panic, & chaos.
Just watching a video in a stateroom or other locations, not your design muster point, could be very counter productive, in a state of emergency, when people & young family memberss are scattered about, not quite sure where or how to maneuver to their designated muster location...again, in the mist of possible nervousness, panic, & chaos.

It is smaller, but easy to navigate, the shows were not crowded. I honestly thought it was one of the best staffs we had ever had, of course now, who knows where everyone will be. If you have been on the Majesty it is very similar. I also like the mid size like the freedom, etc, but would not hesitate to sail the Vision again. It is also very pretty inside and well kept.

How about some pictures of what you miss from pre COVID19 cruising. I will get this started. I miss the Oasis Class ships & hanging out by the Costa Maya pool with my kids as well as St Thomas & St Maarten beaches! Oh & really miss the Sunset Sail away party on the bow of the ship!

Dan Curtis reacted to Lovetocruise2002 in Anyone Shuffling Cruises Around Due to a Cancelled Cruise?
I have two that are being held as back up right now.
If Oasis this August gets cancelled, I will be joining @WAAAYTOOO on SY for the 8 night next August.  In doing so, I will give up Liberty, which I currently have booked for August 2021.
If Odyssey Inaugural gets cancelled, then I have a deposit on Navigator (hopefully it's stable enough to travel by then).
The one that pains me the most to lose is my upcoming July sailing on Adventure, 9 night to Canada/NE.  Not only have I been looking forward to that itinerary for almost two years, and we haven't sailed Adventure since our honeymoon almost 18 years ago, but there is no Plan B for that sailing for the foreseeable future.  Next summer (2021), there are no 9 night Canada/NE sailings like that one.  The only similar one is on Empress and it's so late in August, that I won't be able to go due to school restarting.  That means the earliest I "might" be able to replace that one is summer 2022. ☹️

Had one cancelled in March right after the shutdown, rebooked to November. Have one in June hoping they do not cancel and added one in July in case they do. Things opening up starting this week and hoping by end of next month all back to normal.

May 30th on Adventure to Bermuda was just canceled, so we’re trying to make lemonade out of lemons and book the same cruise on Freedom in 2021.  Hoping to use the 125% to make it a better experience with cabin upgrades ?

Yeah...this is a problem. To decide how far out can you reschedule...that works with your travel time that won't be cancelled or unsafe to cruise.

Had cruise canceled for May 25 th, not rebooked yet, but planning to, just not sure how far out to plan, don’t want to have to keep rebooking, their is other people involved in booking. Good luck to everyone and their planning.

For those that have multiple cruises booked up to 2021 or 2022, are you shuffling your cruises around due to a having to cancel a cruise that you were really looking forward to?
We had Anthem booked this past March and had it cancelled.   Really really wanted to try Anthem.  We have re-booked it for December, but I have doubts if things will be stable then (or if cruises will even start up again in NY by then).
We also have a 4 day Mariner cruise + a few nights at Disney planned for August we most likely will be cancelling.  That was an amazing combo and we promised our kids we would return to Disney some day.
We have Harmony booked for March break, and Oasis booked for following March break.  So we could cancel one of those and replace it with Anthem (of course, for even more than our Dec price, which is much more than our cancelled Anthem).  Or hang in there and wait for March break 2023.  That seems so far away...but then again, we love Oasis class and have yet to try those two ships (plus although we have a very basic room booked, we have a very good price).
And not sure was well when we will rebook Disney.  Ugh.....
How about others?  Are you replacing an existing cruise with one that you missed?

We just had a 4 day on Enchantment in late May cancelled - Deluxe Beverage Package for 2, Chef's Table, and internet package was purchased. We have two 7 days on the books already. The first is Liberty in November, and all of our cruise planner purchases are already paid for. The second is on Jewel in January 2021 going to CocoCay, and the cruise planner just started listing items in the last couple weeks. We really weren't planning on another cruise in 2021 because we want to save as much as we can for an Alaska cruise and land tour in 2022 for DH's 50th birthday. So we're going to apply the FCC to one of those cruises already booked, and we opted for the 125% OBC for our cancelled cruise planner purchases which we'll apply to the Jewel sailing. We already have a big OBC on that one (Next Cruise and the promo at the time), and with the 125% added in, it will cover the DBP for all three adults who are going on that cruise. I plan to drink my weight in Coco Locos and forget all about the coronavirus.
