I just checked my cruise planner and my ultimate has been changed to unlimited. I'm very happy because as a bariatric surgery individual, this is much more conducive to how I eat. Giant 3 to 4 course meals are really wasted on me. Now I spread out my courses of several hours and not feel guilty about wasting food.  

That's actually not a bad idea ..... but let me take it one step further ...... don't let the lectures morph into sales pitches for Diamond's International or other port shopping destinations.  Strictly educational, informative.

H.S. social studies teacher here as well! Fingers crossed none of my students will be on my July sailing as we sail out of Galveston and it's only an hour from my school. 

What is it with all us teachers and cruising? ?

Ok, went to our first show in the main theater on LOS tonight.  There was no sign indicating The Key, but there was a sign for suite and high end loyalty cards( I forget the color). I asked the staff member checking id’s where Key holders sit and she said right here and let us in the VIP reserved area.  Balcony seats in the center section.  Score!

We are lucky here in the UK no smoking inside on ships, which makes some areas mainly the casinos out of bounds for us on cruises out of the US, needs to be banned, smoking kills passive smoking kills but that’s just my opinion.

Omg..... Another kindred spirit lol.  I'm not a huge star wars fan but really missing Disney world for sure!  Would love to go to Disney springs and buy another Vera Bradley Disney purse since they stopped selling at Epcot!  Jane

We gotta plan a Disney trip again...but we keep booking cruises and have up to Mar 2021.  As above, you get the C&A points and we love the all in one.  Hoping to tack on a couple days after our mariner cruise next summer...fingers crossed....and maybe Disney Springs vising on our Anthem Port Canaveral stop.  Guess crowds will be nuts the next few years though.
 

Me too...Disney fan!  I would totally love a Disney cruise though! But just can’t justify the cost!  I have to say my two obsessions ( Disney vs cruising) are totally fighting each other lol!   Jane

Ultimately, I think the government wants more pressure to be put on the Cuban government by their citizens...maybe thinking that removing the dollars that are going there now will do it...my view is that it is inconsistent since travel to mainland China and even North Korea isn't necessarily restrictive. Saying that tourism dollars somehow legitimizes that government also seems ridiculous. There needs to be more dialog, not less...just my opinion...worthless that it is.

Thats how tips are supposed to work, nowadays the mentality is "if i give them a TIP before they do any work then they will do better work".  While this may be true it sets a terrible precedence as at work we call it Bribery.

Just got off the phone with Royal. In the phone rep's notes, it specifically stated that Playmakers and Johnny Rockets were included. So you can have wings as a "second dinner". ?

Understandable...I will be making reservations when I get on board, so that will help.  Also being solo and asking if they would be willing to make something and put a cover on it and give it to me to take to my room might work too..who knows. That way I'm not taking up an entire table for a single person. 
Windjammer is usually my go to but I like the idea of being able to sample all of the offerings.  I just can't do the 3 course meals..entirely too long for me to be sitting with food and way, way, way too much food to eat. I don't need the atmosphere of the dining experience..just the food.  
Even so..if I have to sit at a table at Giovannis for my meat platter at my scheduled reservation time, I am fine with that.  My table will be turned over quickly and perhaps they can sneak another walk-up party in right after me.

The idea does give one an opportunity to do like the old church progressive dinners....especially when restaurants are closely located like in Central Park....but as it has been pointed out, this will only work if you can get seated. 

I received good news via email today! They made an additional Key available for me! I'm glad I won't have to watch my 13 year old eat lunch at Chops without me now ?

This is my situation as well.  I'm much more inclined to pop in and out of wherever and order a single entree or appetizer.  I don't do well with sitting through an entire 3 course meal.  I'm also solo on my sailing, so hopefully they may be more inclined just give me a plate to go (I'm looking at you Izumi sushi...) when I want.  I like the ability to be able to pop into Johnny Rockets and grab a burger too.

Be careful ,when you come back to cruise with  RCL they might  force you to walk the promenade with one of the officers shouting  "Shame , Shame , Shame" ?

I was really trying not to cruise as much as last year.  The darn things book themselves.  I wake up in the morning and another one has been booked.  The frickin' things are like rabbits.  

I'm surprised passports have not become a requirement for sea travel.  I expect at some point they will.   You need a passport to leave the country in car so it's just a matter of time before they are required to cruise.  
Ten years from now we may be discussing the "old" days when you didn't need a passport to cruise.  Just a guess on my part.  

Be sure and get the autumnal mead....it's said it is superior.
