I thought you were going all Bronx on us for a moment there. ?
As for your friends, that's simply the way they're dealing with it that helps them cope.  Some people are serious germaphobes and it's a way of coping that allows them to feel as if they have better control of a situation that gives them great anxiety.  I am very close to one myself, and his routines have nothing to do with "this country".  Just continue to be kind.

Which is why they won't take the precautions necessary, and will be asymptomatic and bring it into my workplace. They know they won't have any ill effects and don't care or believe that they are putting some of the rest of us at risk.  It's all about them.

Not sure if this has to do with just the sailings being released but thought I’d share

Let’s all stick to the topic of this thread, which I am assuming is the interest level of sailing out of the Bahamas this summer.

Let’s not turn this into a thread where we are criticizing or judging other countries for their vaccine rollout or question why their government did what they did.

The way I see it, the bottom line is that we are all frustrated on some level regardless of what country we are from. We all want to get back to cruising. But no amount of criticism, or playing the would have, should have, could have game is going to change any of the decisions that our governments have already made, nor will it speed up the rollout of vaccines in different parts of the world. Nor will it get us back to cruising sooner so the discussion is quite pointless.

Stick to the thread topic, are you interested in sailing out of the Bahamas or not? All other discussions belong on some other forum. Not here.

I would definitely try someone new for this 2023 cruise. Your old TA has had plenty of time to act and she didn’t.  Try someone new for this one and then figure out if you want to continue with your new agent or go back to your old one.  As @AshleyDilloand @Lovetocruise2002said, the FCCs are yours - you can place them anywhere you want.  There’s no harm in trying something new.
I recommend Michelle Cunningham at MEI. [email protected]. All of the MEI agents are very good.  Best of luck !

Most people have had to put their lives on hold for the last year.  Most people have sacrificed in some manner or another.  You know who else will get to go cruising in the Caribbean? The first responders and health care workers who have been putting their lives on the line for the past year - many who ARE part of the "younger generation" (assuming they can get away for a short time).  Honestly, this is just an issue that will not be an issue for long.

Do you really expect a nasty gram worthy of a Facebook comment?
A mayor sending a letter to CDC directory is akin to you replying all to your company's email that includes every worker and executive. No matter how right you are, it's not only poor form, but it tends to deflect the focus off the subject and back onto you for lashing out in that manner.
I don't think they have a choice but to be "nice" because the level of government importance between a county mayor and the director of a federal agency is measured in lightyears.
Not to highjack this thread, but this idea someone (cruise exec, legislator, mayor, town drunk) can simply scream from the highest rooftop "foul!" and finger point like a scene out of Game of Thrones is ludicrous. It's not how politics works, and it's definitely not how you get things accomplished.
Ultimately, the CDC holds the leash and they alone are the ones that can change policy, and vitriol wont help.

    It's not my viewpoint.
The person I quoted is upset at the the cruise lines, or the US government, for "allowing" people to cruise to the Caribbean while they, a young resident of Scotland, can not.
If they are to be upset with anyone for not being able to get a vaccine, it should start at home and is not the fault of the cruise line or the US government.

I appreciate and agree with your sentiment.  It is a compliment to my wife that the two times she's chosen to leave home in 12 months was to have dinner with her.
I think the "what country is this" portion of my comment was probably related to my own frustration with the situation.

Port Canaveral is taking the position that Royal can learn while operating from Nassau and bring those lessons to Port Canaveral once the CDC comes around and allows cruising in the US.

So you were thinking about flying to Nassau for one of the Adventure cruises but you can't because you won't get the vaccine in May?
It seems like your ill should directed towards your government for how they are handling the vaccines in your country.
