SpeedNoodles reacted to RockerDom31 in "Naughty" Table on the Wonder
Maybe the fan had a heating element in it? Or maybe it was just too big?

SpeedNoodles reacted to Moby Dick in Group/? Cruise
My wife and I have never been on a "Group Cruise", not sure what else to call it. Apparently, Matt has one every now and then. So, what I'm asking, does anybody know of a "Group Cruise" being planned in the distant future (mid 2023 or later)? We are thinking to join in on one.

SpeedNoodles reacted to twangster in Any intel on when The Quest will return?
Without any inside knowledge I suspect this will be one the last events to return because it all but guarantees a lack of social distancing and involves passing objects between guests introducing the opportunity for spread. Love & Marriage, Bellyflop, etc do not require no social distancing like Quest pretty much does.

SpeedNoodles reacted to twangster in Any intel on when The Quest will return?
If I posted pictures I would probably get banned. What happens at Quest stays on the internet, but not on this site.

The Quest no longer becomes a quest if we reveal/spoil it for you.

SpeedNoodles got a reaction from SpicyCherry in Power strip
Get a USB charger with multiple ports for your phones/tablets. Mine has 6 ports, so I use that for everything except my laptop, which I plug in directly to the electrical port.

The first rule about The Quest is that we do not talk about The Quest.

Voom is the internet that you pay for, so if you've purchased a Voom package, you will not be charged additionally for using it.

SpeedNoodles got a reaction from Pattycruise in Sam the Stowaway
I loved it pre-Covid, when they were able to ride the elevators stuffed with guests - we'd ride along and sing - people in other elevators would spot or hear the Stowaway elevator and wonder what the heck was going on! Good times.

Luis (aka "Luigi") from Giovanni's Italian Kitchen on Odyssey! We asked for his section every time (x4) we ate there a few weeks ago. He's fantastic!

17) I'm convinced the thermostat in the room did nothing. Was perpetually cold unless we turned the A/C completely OFF.

Not to mention all the NE sailings. 😕 Sigh.

SpeedNoodles got a reaction from Pattycruise in What is a good sale?
Welcome to the forums!
Royal Caribbean runs a sale every few weeks. The best strategy is to buy things that you want as soon as you know that you want them. If they drop in price, you can cancel and repurchase at the lower price (however, if the price goes up, you've price-protected yourself). Also, things can sell out (like dining packages and shore excursions - so don't wait if you want these things).
Never pay attention to the "percent off" on a sale, just look at the bottom line price. The percentages mean absolutely nothing.

SpeedNoodles got a reaction from JasonOasis in Will be on Quantum of the sea for an Alaska cruise this May’22’ will crab, salmon and lobster served in main dining rooms?
I've never had crab legs on any Alaskan sailing to date. Lobster (caribbean) tails are served on the 2nd formal night in the MDR. They may have salmon, but I wouldn't expect it to be fabulous, Alaskan, wild-caught on the ship.
If you want really good salmon and crab, grab some in one of the ports.

SpeedNoodles got a reaction from KJ777 in Antigen test
EMed is the only service that I'm aware that proctors the Abbot Binax test. The link for testing is on the home page, no matter what device or computer you're using.
If you're using a laptop (and I always do), just make sure you have a decent amount of space on your table and that you can maneuver the camera so it can see your face, and then also the table surface in front of you, where they'll want to watch you do the test. Some say it's easier to use a phone camera - I just found that gave me more to juggle with my hands. It's super easy, just make sure you have enough room so you don't accidentally knock the test onto the ground (which will invalidate it - fwiw, I lock the cat up during these tests as well so she doesn't do something dumb like jump on a table and step on it or be a cat and knock it off).

SpeedNoodles got a reaction from navcrui in Cancel to use FCC for same cruise
I don't know if Costco will deal with FCC - you should check prior to doing anything. Plus, it can take a little while to get an FCC back, and the "deal" may not still be valid. Costco also doesn't participate in RoyalUp, from what I understand (if that's something you're interested in).

SpeedNoodles reacted to JasonOasis in How much luck with Royal Up?
I’m on Anthem right now we they accepted our Royal Up bid taking us from a balcony to a grand suite then once we got on board (and I’ve never done this before) my husband and I went down to guest services right after the sail away after we cleared the Verrazano Bridge to see if they had any empty suite higher than a grand we got an onboard upgrade to an owners suite for only $900 additional dollars total not per person. We started out with the balcony guarantee got the Royal UP decided to roll the dice when we got onboard scored an upgrade to the owners suite all for $7,100 dollars TOTAL!!!!! That is a far cry from the near $17,000 dollars Royal wanted for this 11 night cruise if we would have booked the Owners Suite out right when we book this cruise last minute.
To top things off we went to the casino last night played one hand Wheel of Fortune and won $500 dollars.
You could have knocked me over with a feather.
I have never had this much luck in all my life and I’m 41 years old.

Is there a better feeling than passing your pre cruise covid test? It's a combination of relief and the now certain knowledge that I will be sailing in 2 days!

SpeedNoodles got a reaction from MamaG in Excursion food
No, unless you are taking some sort of prepackaged food (like packaged granola bars or something like that - we always do because my husband is diabetic and things can go south quickly if he doesn't eat regularly). Definitely not fruit, and don't grab a coffee at Cafe Promenade and try to get off the ship - you'll have to drink it before you leave or throw it.

SpeedNoodles reacted to dodgestang in Two Children Vaccinated Why did I get this message?
Because if they didn't send it everyone, then they would need to prove who they sent to 'xyz' when that person claims they never got it and didn't know what they needed to do 😉
