  1. This is why I don't talk to my non-cruising friends. I don't need that kind if negativity in my life. And why you guys are stuck with me.....FOREVER!!! BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!
  2. https://www.miamiherald.com/news/business/tourism-cruises/article242042881.html
  3. That'd be nice. It doesn't do a whole lot of good when you have to wait longer to get your test results than your quarantine lasts.
  4. Personally I think they are more likely to not be sailing in July at all than they are. It may also depend on where you want to cruise. I'd imagine the first place they may start up would be the Caribbean. I don't know if Europe will start up for a while, and I think the Alaska/Canada season is a nonstarter for 2020.
  5. We were on Symphony just last February and never found one venue that wouldn't accept them. We only touched our Sea Pass cards when we left the ship at ports.
  6. I wonder if this isn't just your C&A discount on balcony + rooms and they are just calling it something different now?
  7. Did you actually book a sailing, or did you put the $200 down at NextCruise to book in the future? If it was the $200 to use in the future, those are non-refundable deposits. If you actually booked then it would depend if you booked refundable or non refundable (I"m guessing the $200 would be a non-refundable, but not sure.) Anyone else? https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2019/05/13/royal-caribbean-offering-book-two-months-later-option-nextcruise
  8. Welcome to the forums, @ADunk !! There is no payment schedule other than your final payment date. For a 7-night cruise final payment date is typically about 90 days prior to sailing (around Sept 12, in the case of a Dec 12th cruise). If you were to cancel after final payment date there is a scale of how much of your full payment you'd lose. If you would book now and the price drops in August, you would just let your travel agent know (or Royal, if you book through them - most of us recommend using a travel agent), they would just reprice the cruise. If you booked connecting balconies with your friend both sailings would just be repriced - the rooms do not change. I hope that helped.
  9. 4/13/21 "A decision about whether to give Royal Caribbean Cruises more time to fully commit to building a third terminal in Galveston will wait another two weeks, the Galveston Wharves Board of Trustees decided Monday." https://www.galvnews.com/news/free/article_48caa8ab-1a9b-5216-9e98-7a1ace114e9d.html
  10. I'm still looking at it for March 2022!
  11. Harmony of the Seas - November 21-28, 2021 (yep, the Group Cruise). It's very tentative if I'll be able to go (dang holiday), but I'd rather lock in the price now.
  12. I'm not, I didn't know this one existed! I may have to cancel everything else and book that! lol
  13. I really don't know. It's not a holiday for me, so I really don't notice what other people do. But we're all used to working on holidays.
  14. I can't even get my 911 dispatchers to social distance from each other, despite everything we've done to protect them. It's hopeless. I LITERALLY give up.
  15. I read it as it will be officially published on April 15, and the "DATES: This action is effective on [INSERT DATE OF PUBLICATION IN THE FEDERAL REGISTER]" (which they say earlier will be April 15. So 100 days forward of that.
  16. I've been through the Atlanta airport. It is He!!.
  17. I apologize if people who aren't on Facebook can't see this - I haven't found the YouTube link yet (if there even is one). I'm not crying, you're crying.
  18. The Zaandam had passengers that were on both a 14 day sailing (to disembark in Santiago ) and passengers that were on a 17 day sailing (Santiago to Fort Lauderdale) and passengers that were on 31 day sailing (to disembark in Fort Lauderdale). So there were passengers on the ship whose end points were actually Fort Lauderdale. Rotterdam also had Fort Lauderdale as their planned disembarkation point.
  19. You have NO idea how much I need this thread today.
