I suggest to wait around 10 days more.
Few days ago they found that  the virus can spread by people who do not show any signs yet . Once they found this fact the quarantine became tighten . Since the virus become active after 14 days from the  infection we will know were we are going in  about 10 to 14 days , if the numbers will still increase it will take some more few month  but if the numbers of new infected people will start to go down it will indicate it's finally under control and the quarantine is effective

Great, so my father in law whose prone to mass hysteria called me this morning asking me to cancel my back2back cruise in March on the Brilliance and Harmony due to Coronavirus scare (two sailings which has nothing to do with China). My in laws were supposed to join us on the Brilliance on 3/2, and then we would go with friends on the Harmony on 3/8. He already said they're not gonna go and insist my family cancel too, actually went as far as to calling me out saying I'm not a responsible father to my kids if I still insist on going. I tried to calm his hysteria and said it's still too early to make that kind of rash decisions. If things get worse,  Royal will cancel themselves. I hate traveling with my in laws sometimes,  this wasn't the first mass hysteria drama we had to deal with with them.

The surveillance video from the ship was leaked and aired on a TV program in PR yesterday. It clearly shows him leaning over the railing and sticking his head out the open window before he leans over to pick up the child.     Also, per the local media (several sources), the prosecutors stated that there have not been any offers or negotiations for a plea bargain. The prosecutors said that a plea bargain has not even been considered yet, although this possibility has not been discarded. 

If this family gets any $$$ from Royal it's gonna be open season for ridiculous lawsuits in the future. And the rest of us will pay for it as Royal or any other cruiseline will have no choice but to calculate this risk into their future price increases as well.

So according to NBC nightly news last night. They said Royal might be at fault due to some requirement that they're supposed to install windows that can only open 4 inches for ventilation instead of whole way. Any truth to this or is it BS and they just reported what the lawyer said?

Almost a year to the date of occurence, a lawsuit has been filed against Disney Cruises and their medical provider for the treatment of injuries a passenger received from an anteater. While on an excursion off the Disney Wonder in Cartagena, Columbia a young male passenger was attacked by an anteater that resides in and roams the grounds of the National Aviary Of Columbia. The parents of the child opted to return to the Wonder to have him treated by the ship's medical department. The boy was treated for his wounds but this did not prevent him from getting a severe infection afterwards. The lawsuit claims that the medical care provided onboard was inferior, of poor quality and ineffective. The parents are seeking a monetary award for the incident that occurred in October 2018.


 

Thanks for the heads up, had a Casino Royal comped JS offer that we originally weren't gonna use, but since you mentioned kids sail free, we snagged the last JS room available for the 3/2/20 Brilliance sailing, taxes and port fees only. ? We already have 3/8/20 comp Harmony booked, so it'll be our first back to back we've ever done. (Well kinda b2b). Can't wait till visit Cococay two weeks in a row ?

I'm on board and have shown your post to guest services.  It's early here so only one GS person on shift right now.  They will engage the guest service manager and housekeeping manager later this morning when they come on duty.
The problem with cash is that it's an easy claim to make.  I'm not saying your story isn't true but with so many people trying to cash in on scams these days everyone including Royal needs to be extra diligent to validate such claims.  
I'm assuming they still have your contact information from the previous voyage.  If they need to contact you they will directly without me being involved any further.

Our stateroom number is 13136, we believe we left two Wells Fargo Envelopes full of cash totaling well over $4000 on the desk counter in our stateroom. We must've forgotten to pack it after leaving our stateroom attendant her tips before leaving our room. Our stateroom attendant's name is Grace. If anyone onboard sees this please ask our stateroom attendant or guest services if any kind soul turned it in. Or if anyone on last weeks sailing retrieved something, please let me know. I'm posting this because I still believe there are people who would turn it in as opposed to keeping it all even though I mostly consider the money lost. But figured I try my luck. Much appreciated!
