Hi everyone,

I am leaving on my very first cruise tomorrow (starting the drive today) and I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to Matt, and everyone else here! I feel so confident going into this cruise. Between these message boards and Matt's live videos, I had all of my questions answered. This community is so positive and it just makes me that much more excited for my vacation! So again, thank you so much and happy cruising to you all ?

So slight change of plan.
Instead of flying to Spain, to join Oasis for the crossing, I'll be joining the ship now once it arrives in Fort Lauderdale.
So, I'll be flying to Miami now from Orlando in 2 weeks. And I'll have 1 night in a hotel, to relax before joining the ship. I much prefer this!

You're lucky i'm not in charge, i would ban smoking indoors (to include the casino) and make the only place for smoking, in the aft (designated section) upper decks.  If you get caught smoking in a non-authorized location, you would be dropped off at the next port.  I'm surprised that Royal Caribbean hasn't been sued yet, by an employee that has been diagnosed with cancer from second hand smoke due to improper ventilation in the casinos.

I doubt you LOST your waistline - if anything, you gained some extra.

This could be interesting to see how this goes then

They pick a sailing every year and call it the President's Cruise.  That means the president of Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Michael Bayley, will be on the sailing and they make a big to-do about everything.  Tons of loyal Royal Caribbean cruisers like to sail on these cruises.  They will have special events and gifts.  Because of all this, it tends to be a little different than your typical cruise.  There will be a lot more folks on the sailing with high Crown & Anchor status and they will have a lot of special invite-only events that can close some of the venues to public use. 
I think anyone expecting a typical Royal Caribbean cruise will be a bit surprised by this sailing.  Whether that's a good or a bad surprise is really up to the individual.

Many Many Pineapples and  D+  so usually Diamond lounge is accessible for P and sometime D+ only, might be different this time as its in the Med and not US

@TonyCornwall @cmdrfrag I pulled up Allure's sailings for that month and it had no 25th sailing, one on the 23rd.  Next time i will do a screenshot, but now it shows the 25th as what was stated. Either one of two things happened,  A glitch in the system or i selected the wrong ship or month...probable the latter of the two. ?‍♂️

It's actually very common to be transferred during a contract. This is usually due to promotions or buisness needs. Sometimes you will be notified ahead of time, sometimes you may get asked to be transferred immediately.
The thing is, we don't get a choice as to whether we can stay or go. Once we get told we are to be transferred, we have to go.
