Look if both of you want to drink, get the package for both. Period. Please abide by the rules. I understand what you are saying about waste but the truth is most people will be doing it to try to abuse the system. Try to enjoy your vacation without having to look over your shoulder worried about getting caught and you will have a good time.

Man you haven’t lived if you haven’t tried a Shirley Temple. Some adults like it as well. ?
Also you should try a Roy Rogers. Same as Shirley Temple except has Coke instead of Sprite.

I understand your frustration but not all kids behave like this. For example my son is 13 and behaves ok but when he was younger I never would have brought him to a specialty restaurant. I know better. My sisters kids always behaved at nice restaurants. It just depends so I don’t think you can generalize. Obviously parents should not bring kids there if they are going to disturb others. I hope you didn’t penalize Royal Caribbean on the post cruise survey for parents poor decision for bringing them. It’s not Royals fault.

Most of the time in my experience, the beds are usually not in the format requested when you board. But, the cabin steward is always happy to put it the way you want. Most of the time he or she will put the bed/beds the way you want them during first nights dinner

Yes, you can call and have it noted.  I have had two times where I requested the configuration be two twins only to find a king when I got in the cabin.  The steward will always introduce him or herself before the muster drill.  If the configuration of the beds, or anything else in the cabin, hasn't met my needs, I just ask them then and the issue has always been taken care of by the time we were done with dinner.

Just say no to Carnival. I did a Carnival Cruise once and never again. Some of my friends say Norwegian is ok. I haven’t done it. But I just like Royal myself

This potentially may be a "your mileage may vary" situation, but I wanted to share that for my Brilliance of the Seas cruise, we booked the Ultimate Dining Package.  After the concierge emailed us about a week before the cruise, I emailed back if he could book our specialty dining reservations for use with the package and he took care of it for us before we got onboard!
    Never hurts to ask.

OK, this starts to make some sense to me now. That old system heavily rewarded taking short weekend cruises, as you could take 10 of those in an inside cabin and be Diamond for significantly lower cost than someone who wants to only take longer cruises.
Now, with the tiers based on actual nights sailed, there's no real advantage to having a particular cruising length preference. The price per night for any given cabin category (I would hope) works out about the same in the end for a 3-night or 16-night cruise, so you've just got to sail those 80 nights (40 if you're living the suite life the whole time). So take 20 four-night cruises or 10 eight-nighters, you won't get there any faster.
Hold on... Royal did something that actually leveled the playing field, instead of rewarding those who spend more money?!? GASP!

May I suggest you either use a travel agent next time or mark it on your calendar? I agree with what twangster said all the way. We have to remember our bills. Of course Royal Caribbean is going to take your deposit and charge more if they can. They are a business. Utility and credit card companies charge late fees to make money not to be good or bad.

I get email notices, plus I note the payment dates and put a reminder on my calendar.   Did you provide an email address?
My mortgage company doesn't offer a grace period every month.  My utility company and credit card companies offer no grace period each month.  If I miss a payment there are consequences.
I've started using a travel agency more often now and this is another benefit of doing so - they know the rules and won't let you miss the date.  Payment is processed automatically a full week before final payment due date.

I was on Liberty in July, the Captain would only commit that liberty would be in Galveston through 2020 but not beyond, this was announced at the Top Tier event, I asked the Suite Concierge and he would not comment any further either.
I agree with @Oliver , I don't think filling the ship will be a problem, I have been on 4 cruises out of Galveston at different times of the year and between Navigator and Liberty I have never seen a ship sail even remotely not at 100% capacity.
I did try and get a hotel on a Memorial day weekend and the rooms were getting scarce, so I just stayed in Houston, where I normally do for business and then had a nice 50 minute drive down to the port Sunday morning (About the only time driving in Houston is not hectic).

The metropolitan area has 6.5 million and is the 5th largest in the country. We won’t have any problem filling an Oasis class ship.
The issue will be the money enlarging the port to accommodate it and who pays for it.

I was between jobs, so no insurance, I missed my first week of training because I was so ill. It also cost me over $300 in doctors bills.
I didn’t blame RCCL for becoming ill, I blame the passenger who was contagious and spread it around.
