    Day 6- sea day ‼️‼️‼️‼️
Also 2nd formal night and lobsters in dining room. Every table got a birthday cake to celebrate RCCL 50th birthday. Grandkids had to rummage around to find clothes that weren’t dirty or wrinkled  ???
We booked our next cruise at  Nextcruise. Transatlantic on Anthem April 2020 Cape Liberty to Southhampton then we will stay over a few days in London.
All pools were too crowded so we found a quiet spot on Deck 4 to read and play shuffleboard. Kids finally got to sleep late.
Good news is someone finally turned down the music on Deck 5 at 6:00am?
Unfortunately all 4 of us have had problems with the ship WIFI. We are constantly being knocked off and can’t get back on☹️

    Day 5- Falmouth Jamaica
I was pleasantly surprised at this port. The gated shopping restaurant area is very nice and safe. A nice change from the haranguing you experience at the Cozumel port shopping area. And it was very organized to meet your excursion.
We took the Dreamer catamaran and snorkeling tour-  I believe we paid about $70 per person and it was well worth it. The catamaran is very nice, comfortable and provides some  shade. The bus ride was comfortable. The crew was great very nice, enthusiastic, and entertaining as they danced to the Carribbean music. The snorkeling sight evidently was great too. Our grandkids really enjoyed the day.
We made it back in time to eat lunch and recuperate from 6 hours in the heat.
We decided to skip the In the Air show
A fun day was has by all.

Since your daughter got her first passport when she was 6 months old and does not look close to the same, then what I would do is either renew her passport and take a new photo for the passport.
Instead of taking the passports off the ship make copies of the page with pictures of each person on the reservation/booking and take the copies off the ship with you and leave the originals in the safe in your stateroom.

Mljstr reacted to Atlantix2000 in What time do room stewards clean stateroom?
They are ninjas that are very good at observing when you enter/leave your room.  They seem to always be around cleaning someone's room but I've never actually managed to catch them cleaning mine.  I have seen them knock on rooms before entering.
Think of your room like any hotel room.  Yes, you can lock your room and throw a latch/deadbolt for privacy but those can be overridden when necessary.
I think it's polite to inform my steward if I'm planning to sleep in really late or take a nap before dinner.  That way they will know and can work around my schedule.  After all, they don't get to clock out until they've finished all their assigned rooms.

Day 3 in Cozumel- very HOT! Drink a lot of water!
We did the Atlantis Submarine tour. Saw lots of cool fish and sting rays. The vessel is cramped and I don’t recommend it if you have mobility issues ( you have to use a small ladder to get into the viewing area)or claustrophobia.
Day4- Grand Cayman  A beautiful island
Dolphin Encounter and Sting Ray city
If you want to swim with dolphins book the Dolphin Swim  The Encounter you don’t leave the side of the enclosure.  More about this later
Sting Ray city our boat was a rusty bucket; too crowded at the location and not many sting rays. I have done this several times before and this time was not that good.
Ice show was great as usual
Two general comments. Why  do they have to play LOUD disco music in the Promenade early in the morning when early risers are trying to get coffee? There’s no other place to get coffee before windjammer opens and it is annoying
Don’t try to go to the Schooner Bar in the evening or sea days when the casino is open  The smoke smell is toxic there.
Also I relented and bought Wifi and vooom for grandkids. It doesn’t work often. You can’t login?Don’t expect great service.
Also theres no freestyle machine on this ship. The bartenders tend to be busy mixing drinks and they ignore the shy kids waiting patiently for a refill  I observed that myself.

The gratuities go to the whole ship crew not just the MDR staff. It also goes to Windjammer staff, the housekeeping staff, the servers in Sorrento pizza- everyone who served you at any time on the ship. Shame on the travel agent for not knowing that and almost leading you astray. Very uncool!

I will make occasional comments when I have something interesting to add.
First- check in was a snap. They did ask for and copy the notarized letters from parents giving us permission to be responsible for them.
CABIN 9200 is perfect!  LOTS of room and the nook for the bunkbeds is a hit with the teens. They decided to split up the time half and half so each one can have the privacy.
Slight disappointment in that they (both 16 years old )were not allowed in Diamond club last night. Concierge said maybe tonight if it’s not crowded.
Also not allowed on bridge tour but can go on galley tour and theater tour.
Finally no priority seating for ice show. Guess we’ll be standing in line hoping to get in. Last time we got tickets but now it’s first come first serve.

Don't drink anything with ice unless the restaurant says the water is filtered. Unfortunately some of the little roadside cute cafes do not use filtered water or ice. I have been on the Fury Catamaran twice and felt comfortable drinking whatever was offered. However, you can't always avoid the Montezuma's Revenge. Once I ate exclusively at the Acapulco Princess Hotel (very upscale at the time) and got sick as a dog after eating tacos. I guess the lettuce was not washed properly or in regular water. It happens! Take probiotics before and during your trip to avoid stomach issues.

I just sailed in that cabin style on Mariner (near sister of Liberty).
Very nice cabin for 3 adults, should work for 2+2 as well.
Walking in the door you had the standard cruiseship bathroom on one side and then a "nook" on the other with a set of bunkbeds.
The nook had shelves on one end where you could put books, etc. Individual lights for each bunk and one closet that you could hang clothes in.
I am 6', 220 lbs and slept on the bottom bunk very comfortably.
Continuing into the "main room" it was basically a standard cruise cabin with the two single beds that can be pushed together into a queen or left seperated as two beds if you prefer.
The couch folded out into a bed as well if needed. We used the 2 beds seperated and then i had the bunk so we never unfolded the couch. No real "seperation" of the couch from the beds though if you wanted privacy for any reason.
Plenty of closet/desk space and room to move around the beds and couch.
Biggest decision is probably whether the 2 teens will use the bunks or have 1 in a bunk and 1 on the couch.

We were just in Barcelona and Rome in November in November so you would think I would remember; but not so much. It seems the compass tells you what to take off and what you need to get back on the ship.@SuZQ329  If we are not required to take the passport we take a copy and leave the original in the safe. If you are on a Mediterranean cruise that stops in several countries, some ports may require the passport.  I carried an RFID cross body bag and my husband (nickname "the mule") carried an RFID fanny pack.
Re pickpockets in Barcelona and Rome: I personally know two different persons who were pickpocketed -one in each city. So it is very prevalent there and the streets and tourist areas are very very crowded so it is easy to do.

Thanks to all! We usually haven't found too many benefits for booking on NextCruise but a decreased deposit and maybe some OBC would be nice since the deposits have gotten so incredibly high. Remember when you could book a cruise for $50 pp? It wasn't too long ago! And it was refundable.

Cindy is correct (no cokes)AND the gift shops are only open when the ship is sailing and not open all night. So if you need the Pepcid at 1:42 am or 1:42 pm and you are in Cozumel you are out of luck. The “shop” is usually very small , a corner in another shop, and choices are limited. So I now take a Walgreens in my bag!  ??
