Just confirmed with customer service that our sailing on vision of the seas scheduled to depart San Juan tomorrow is included in this. We arrived in San Juan yesterday. Currently changing our flights to return home tomorrow instead.
Any thoughts on whether crown and anchor points will still be awarded for cancelled cruises? 

You know, the more things like this I see, the happier I am that I booked a cruise that departs in August for Canada (and Greenland, Iceland, and Ireland). ?

This is probably going to be an extremely unpopular opinion, and I really love this cruise line, but Royal needs to start suspending operations ASAP for the health and safety of their passengers. Human life is more important than cruising.

With the way things in the news cycle are going today...........don't be surprised if you don't go anyway.

My entire group was still planning to travel 03/15/2020 on Anthem of the Seas and they cancelled all 30 of us because I had to cancel  my mother and aunt who are elderly!  They did not even call anyone  in the group to confirm this.  Just received a random email in the middle of the night showing all of our excursions, shows, dining plans cancelled.   After 5 hours of my life they have now at least restored my cabin reservations but i have had to rebook everything else and it cost an extra 15.00 per person now for the water park!   I am so angry right now I could scream.   How can you be so reckless to people who are still trying to  be  loyal?

While I am not discounting the economic impact there are some other things to consider.  Imagine being the local health care center Dahl in Skagway.  Since the local population is near 1000, the numbers work out easily.  If the percentages hold, it would mean that 600 town members become ill with the virus, and 200 would need to be hospitalized, not to mention how many would need intensive care.  Dahl would not be able to handle the patient volume.  And most would have to be transported out.

Btw, this temporary suspension affects all the lines under their parent company: Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
Took them long enough to do this, definitely right decision.

I just count to twenty.  That's also pretty easy to remember.

I took the letter to my doctor today and he refused to sign it. He had no problem in confirming that I was not suffering from any of the listed chronic illnesses but he said he could not attest to me being fit to travel on a cruise ship since the UK government had issued guidance to all over 70’s advising not to travel on a cruise ship. Looks like I will not be allowed to travel on our March 23 cruise. ??

I had a patient this morning present this to me at his appointment.

I just wish they would make a decision one way or the other.. All the uncertainty is driving me crazy. 

Oh totally, dude, I feel for those people booked on a cruise within the next couple of months.

On an unrelated note, my family has now cancelled their trip to Japan in May, better to be safe than sorry.

I just love that cat Gears, that's an even angrier looking cat that mine. But I have to agree, it's either a fake post or a lot of pertinent information was omitted.

I think the writing was on the wall when the Disneyland closure was announced earlier today. This was the right decision by Disney, considering that the parks were going to be jam packed with people on Spring break/March break. ?I'm just glad that Disney will be paying their cast members during this suspension.

Well I am reading Bayonne is doing the same thing my home state just did....closing the schools for 2 weeks....so I would wager that they will close the port too.

Here's a letter from a guest onboard Vision of the Seas shared in one of my cruising FB groups. A different guest aboard Vision reported that the ship attempted to dock at St. Kitts, after being refused at St. Maarten, but were later denied.
A different guest aboard Grandeur reported in the same thread where the letter was posted that the ship was denied entry into St. Thomas today ? 
It's a cruise to nowhere, but at least they're onboard a ship, right? 

Freedom is in Bonaire today and they haven't had any issues so far.  Just watched a periscope from Cruise Life Rick and they were having a great time, no issues whatsoever.

From that same aforementioned cruising group, people reported that their ships were able to dock in both Cozumel and Costa Maya.
