....is this going to be a Live Blog.  I am NOT looking to set the new World Land Speed Record for starting the earliest Live Blog.  It will turn into a live blog MUCH later when we get closer to sail date.
I just wanted to announce to the world that the long anticipated 8 night Symphony itinerary for 21 - 29 August 2021 has finally shown up on the website !!!! 
I've been stalking this cruise for months.  They announced the itinerary - Labadee, Aruba and Curacao - months ago, but never opened it for booking until today.
I quickly snagged one of the Deck 8 Aqua Theater Suites because I could not afford (or didn't want) any of the other Star Class rooms that were left.  Believe it or not, some of the SC rooms were already gone by the time I got there !!  The aft-facing Star Loft was there but I don't really want that one.  I have NO interest in that awful Ultimate Family thing and the Royal Loft is WAAAY out of my price range on this cruise (and so was the Ultimate Family thing, to be fair).
So let the fun begin.  I BELIEVE that this will be the first Oasis class ship to go to Aruba and Curacao.  I could be wrong about that.  For sure it will be the first time Symphony has been there.  This will also be my first cruise on Symphony and I'm very excited. 3 ports in 8 days is my idea of heaven.
Interest, anyone ?

And don't forget the menus!! One of the dirtiest thing even on land whether on a cruise or restaurant.  I always wash my hands AFTER ordering from a menu.  Maybe I really am OCD! LOL

@Keeves, I find your post interesting and am somewhat aware of eating Kosher from past bosses.  I also find your attitude to be tremendous considering some the items you would really like (like Vanilla or Hazelnut for your coffee!) not being available.  You appear to be a very humble man. I hope you re enjoying your first cruise!

Thank you @JLMoran for setting up this discussion page. It prompted me to call Flights by Celebrity and I'm favorably impressed!
They set me up with flights for my upcoming New Zealand/Australia cruise. 
The airfare was less than I was seeing on Travelocity and fully refundable!  They even got me direct flights in and out of Houston!
I'm astounded! What a deal!

Loving this blog!  Been on Summit twice and loved it, looking forward to Equinox hopefully in May!  Enjoy!!

A couple of years ago USA Today was all about Carnival cruise lines.  Best of everything. IIRC,  Vista was the best new ship and it hadn't left the shipyard yet.  Even their news reporting was heavily slanted to favor Carnival ignoring several huge mishaps while demonizing Royal over trivial incidents.  At that time it was blatantly obvious Carnival had bought their favor.  The views and news on the cruise industry was heavily one sided.
That's when I deleted the USA Today app and haven't looked back.  They are a pay for headlines journal.  They are not real news media.

I understand that some people like to dress up.  The question is why does that require everyone to follow their dress standard?
Why do some people who choose to dress more formal get offended when someone doesn’t conform to their level of dress?
What if people dressing better is offensive to people who just wear jeans and a polo shirt? Should the cruise line ban people who wear something too nice?  They just want to relax but now they feel like their oppressive boss or parents are present, judging them, stressing them.
What other people are wearing does not change the taste of your food.  Food does not taste better if the person at the next table is wearing a tux.  Food does not taste worse is the person at the next table is wearing jeans.
Dressing up and taking pictures can be accomplished even if the people in the next cabin don’t. You can choose to make every night a dress up night.
People who don’t dress up aren’t stressed about this.  They aren’t being torn.  They are enjoying the cruise they paid for.  
No mass market cruise line should be forcing guests to conform to a dress code.  You can’t market a cruise to the masses and then enforce a dress code for the elite of society on any night.  
Stop judging other people.  Focus on your family and dress however you choose to and enjoy your dining experience. 
If you can’t stop judging other guests and this is ruining your cruise it may be time to look for a boutique cruise line that will satisfy your level of expectations.   The mass cruise market isn’t for you.  

I was a financial analyst with Pillsbury. They hired me with my dreadlocks. After one year, they told me that some people found them offensive. Really. I was hired with my dreadlock. They were neat and most of the time I wore them up in a professional bun.
