the pics really helped me get a feel of the ship much more so than any of the other videos or pics I've seen
Since I know I'm not going on Icon (or Star) anytime soon, I haven't looked at a ton of them but I agree. My wife wants to try the class eventually and I showed them to her... and told her something very similar to what you told your son, lol. We'll see how bad the prices for Star are during the next release.

i feel like they somehow vary from ship to ship
I'm not surprised... I think a lot of things vary from ship to ship... even sailing to sailing. You'd think tuna on the same bread would be pretty standardized but...

Paradise Beach e-mailed me back this morning to say there were people using the new daybed today but they would take photos for me as soon as they can.
I thanked them and told them how great their customer service has been, especially since I haven't even been there, lol. I wish every company went out of their way like this. They could have easily said something like "the photo should be on the website in a week or so", which honestly would be a reasonable response. I'll post the pics they send when I get them for @Jax, @Debstr66, and anyone else interested.

Knowing my luck, Wonder's ELF won't have it in 19 days.

Oh, good; because these cupboards are bare of food pics for @OCSC Mike.
They were very high quality photos... but don't show me the sandwich counter... show me the sandwich (or crepe or pita or mac)!

Good day… Hadn’t noticed it until today when doing some price match mock bookings, but the resident discounts are showing back up. Did a rematch on a non casino comp 3 night on Utopia and saved a bunch between the sale and the discounts…Has anyone else noticed these?
A friend of mine pointed them out to me a few days ago (she repriced 2 of hers). Definitely some more palatable Utopia prices out there for certain months compared to other sailings.

Can you post what the theme nights are and what the dinner menu theme has been at each port? Going in 4 weeks on same Barcelona cruise and would like to know the theme nights and dinner menu nights and what night is formal night.
You can look at the current sailing in the app and see everything.

Hey @OCSC Mike Yes there's definitely still a walking path between that equipment shack and the newly placed #22. When I was there 4/28, the Adirondak chairs occupied that spot. There will definitely be foot traffic from the pool area to the beach and back. The little shower would be right behind you ~ 20ft away. If you don't want traffic, keep your original spot.
Thanks for the input. I somehow skipped over @Jax's mention of the shower being there so glad you said something.
I'd still like to see actual pics but sounds like we may just stay put.

So glad they got back to you so quickly with this possibility. I agree that their customer service is excellent. I’ll be curious to see the picture because the area where #22 is planned for, use to be a path that guests used to get from the pool area by daybed #6 to the beach area and there was an outdoor shower in that general area. I can’t wait to see how they reconfigured the space. And yes, planning is fun!
I feel invested in this outcome so keep me posted!
The new daybeds now show up as available to select on their website but there are no pictures yet.
I'm waiting for an e-mail response about the pics so I can decide if we want to switch before someone else books #22 but they don't seem to getting back to me as quickly this time. It's really sooo not a big deal but I still want the option, lol.
Just sharing since you're invested.

Incredible!
This is a good link to keep handy, it has updates regularly with various "last minute deals", aka inventory they are trying to get rid of. This Enchantment sailing didn't make the list - truly a hidden gem!

Sadly the GGG flier has very few good deals these days but might as well keep checking.

We've done the promenade window a few times when it's just been the two of us. I like them but recently I've found they've not been such a good deal as they were in the past especially when the C&A balcony discount comes into play.
We only had one once (our only ever Royal Up in fact) b/c we were going to be assigned a deck 3 interior GTY from the bar code trick and it was the 3N half of a 3/4 B2B so the bid was something insignificant like $15pp. We weren't huge fans of the layout but for 3N we didn't care (it was on Indy, not sure if they vary). We did like our CP view on Allure. The layout was more standard and the room felt much bigger than a standard interior.

I think they mean any small bags that you have with you. The luggage is stored under the bus in a locked compartment, but they do not want to be responsible for purses and backpacks.
That would be my assumption as well. We did one in Vancouver after an Alaska cruise and it was as you described.

Naturally. Who only has one early lunch then nothing until dinner?
I'm supposed to control myself on embarkation day in June b/c we're using our first ever D+ BOGO for Giovanni's Kitchen on night one and I'm expecting a rather huge meal.

We will be there on June 4th. We are not looking to "party". but always loved having a good crowd in that area to chat with. If Hideaway prices go down a smidge more, I might get it. We already purchased Hideaway for our August cruise, but this upcoming cruise we will be with friends of ours and it's their first RCL cruise.
I guess my review less than 24 hours before you'll be there won't be too helpful then, lol. I tried. Hope we get some nice weather that week.
I think it's safe to say there were still be a crowd... I wouldn't worry about that part. It's not like everyone suddenly abandoned the Oasis Lagoon. That said, there will be plenty of kids as part of the crowd, especially in June.
Obviously Hideaway Beach appeals to you so I think it makes sense to go for it if the price is right for you and your friends... but I can guarantee that Oasis Lagoon won't be a quiet, boring place just b/c the DJ is gone.

Yes but we were fussy cave dwellers and insisted on having a window which kinda limited us to the dungeon.
Can't have everything, lol. That's the one inexpensive basic cabin type I've never had. I've had a promenade window and a CP window (b/c they were on deck 9) but never an OV window.
The real dungeon is the deck 4 CL on Oasis class... although I enjoy the virtual window in the one on Wonder, lol. I get to see some lovely early AM views while making cappuccino.

We always sit close enough to where the DJ used to be to hear the music and, as of March, noticed no difference on that front as far as volume or selection, there's just no human DJ obviously. It didn't change our experience at all.
That said, we don't go there to party or join the human soup that used to be right in front of the DJ so I can't tell you how much the vibe has changed in that respect.
If you want a loud party, I'm guessing you'd want Hideaway Beach, but I don't know for sure. I'll be there 3 weeks from today on June 3rd and likely live blogging here. If I remember I'll try to check it out... but when I get up to wander it's usually in the other direction to get food from the nearest Snack Shack or food/drinks from Chill Grill.

The bitcoin balloon art appears to be a tribute to Banksy’s Girl with Balloon - I’m no art expert but I believe it’s quite a famous piece and I did recognise the style instantly. It’s called Girl with Bitcoin by a street artist called Sonrie.
Thanks for the education... saying my art knowledge is limited would be an understatement.

No doubt. If you don't like something just order something else. My wife barely drinks and we're about to take our first cruise as D+ so I'm still figuring out how to use up the other 7-8 vouchers per day since she'll never come close to using her 5.

I have no experience with Playa Mia but here are my general thoughts on Nachi Cocom from October... It was incredibly peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. The frozen drinks were awful, margaritas were fine, just a bit weak. Food was fine but not great (food being incredibly subjective of course). Service was good but not amazing.
We're trying Paradise Beach in July b/c food and drink are more important to me than peace and quiet (plus I've heard many good things as mentioned above). I think your decision will likely depend on your priorities/preferences.

Congrats on the win!
I wouldn't personally want to be way down there, too far from the higher decks where we spend a good amount of time, but cabin location is personal preference. Others like lower decks.

frogs in the bathroom
Haven't had any here but found one in the toilet of the guest room we use when visiting my in laws in The Villages, lol.

Yep. We moved here after college after growing up in the Philly suburbs. I always commented about how the critters we had up north were all cute and cuddly... chipmunks, rabbits, deer, etc. Down here... not so much, lol.

I don't blame you. I don't even like doing anything shorter than 7N unless we're sneaking in one of those "bonus" October cruises b/c there's a good deal and our schedule allows. If I had to fly, forget it. We have some Utopia B2B's booked to make them 7N but I totally understand why you (and many people) wouldn't want to do just go to CocoCay twice and stay on the ship. We don't mind and spending zero $ on excursions helps offset the total cost... at least that was part of my logic. We could have done Wonder again in summer 2025 before it switches to shorties but my wife said no more Wonders, lol... and the prices were very similar to the Utopia B2B's so it was fine with me. There are other small benefits to 3/4 B2B's like we got more total OBC than we would have for a 7N Wonder and now that we're D+ and share one internet account, we won't have to spend anything on that either.
(Sorry for the short hijack, @JohnK6404)
