StayFrosty got a reaction from DDaley in Southwest to serve Miami year round
It looks like Southwest is coming to MIA.  That should mean cheaper flight directly to Miami instead of the detour via Fort Lauderdale.

StayFrosty reacted to twangster in Warning - Royal Changing Ships Without Notice
I have called out Royal before when they make a mistake and that is what I've done here in the thread.  However don't confuse that an overall or new found disdain for the company.
No company is perfect, not before the pandemic and not during the pandemic.
I still have double digit cruises booked with Royal and I eagerly look forward to the day when we can cruise with some resemblance of normalcy.
When I see someone wrongly claim something like bait and switch or when someone didn't understand established policy then tries to throw the company under the bus because they didn't understand or take the time to research I'll continue to challenge that.
Royal has always done right for me in the end.  In this case I am whole in that I was fully refunded.  That's better than other companies that have been seriously impacted by the pandemic have done for me.  Even if it wasn't the ideal solution, at least I am whole.
As this pandemic continues to impact this industry ships are way out of position for all the right reasons (getting crew home no matter what it takes) and that may lead to other ship swaps once things begin to recover.  For some that may be a good thing, for others not so much.  The warning remains, just keep an eye on your booked cruises and learn from this thread if it happens to you.

That’s right, there is a US Navy shallows/mine field training area just to the west of a Coco Cay.  I had known about the much larger deep water training area to the south but the minefield was news to me.
The facility that support these areas, AUTEC, was used to support the US response to Hurricane Dorian.

How cool would it be to see a sub surfacing while cruising near Coco Cay?

I would argue that they are doing this for public relations reasons.  If they thought it was a major concern they would just cancel the sailings like they did in China but they are not. Now it could reach that point but we are not there yet.

Hi there, yes you are right all trains to go to Circular Quay. We were staying near Bridge Street which is about 3 blocks south of Circular Quay which has a light rail stop right outside the hotel so much easier with luggage! ?

StayFrosty got a reaction from Nate Y in Royal Caribbean purchases land on Paradise Island Nassau, Bahamas
If you read the original article (http://www.tribune242.com/news/2020/feb/27/royal-caribbeans-pi-land-deals-revealed/), it sounds like Royal is buying up pretty much everything west of the Yoga Retreat (https://goo.gl/maps/o25HT4S8Gf4meN4f7).  They are now trying to get access to the undeveloped government land between the last of the houses and the light house.  When I was in Nassau in June, I thought that it was weird that a lot of the properties looked run down and abandoned.  At the time I just thought it was just hurricane damage but it might have just been that Royal had bought them and were just letting them rot until they could tear them down.
