Starting September 1, all cruises out of Florida are vaccinated. 12 and older must be vaccinated

Is it possible that the difference was the added gratuity? My DBP lists a price of $58 on sale but once I put it in my cart, it adds gratuity and becomes $67.
I was thinking that too. The new cruise planner format adds gratuity at checkout.

We’re Diamond and usually get the drink package. If my husband gets the drink package and I get the refreshments package, I could use my vouchers and hubby could “gift” me with his vouchers by buying me drinks, correct?
I plan to confirm this when we’re on Symphony in October. We already have the DBP on that cruise but going forward I’d like to do the above.

This is a link to an upcoming promotion for Labor Day.
Note the promotion is over Labor Day and for a cruise window starting September 9, 2021 through September 30, 2022.

That seems like the same same as the last 4 or 5. Black Friday better be good! Lol The last “good” sale was back in February at 45% off.

I use a small crossbody cell phone bag. It has slots for credit type cards as well as a separate front pocket. Both pockets have zippers with adjustable strap. Came with a carabiner clip and has a belt loop thing on the back if you want to wear it on a belt. Bought it on Amazon years ago. Great bag.

My October Liberty cruise fare dropped again so I called. It showed that I had already gotten a difference in price as OBC so I was not able to get the now lower price difference added to my OBC (about another $180). You may want to try it because everyone gets a different answer to questions depending on who you are talking to.
I have a TA. May be time to call @Sharla
Pretty sure you are eligible for all price drops up to 48 hours before you cruise.

Well all of my cruises were booked before October 31, 2021 but 2 of them sail after the book by date of April 2022 and one sails after September 2022. Guess I better pray the pandemic is well over by then

Hi, we have our cruise booked the beginning of November and I haven't found RCL representatives to be helpful at all with questions regarding what we can do off the ship once we dock at St Thomas and St Martin with our young children who cannot be vaccinated yet. You mentioned if you want to roam, the kids club is available. Did you take that to mean if we want to walk/site see the island without booking specific excursions through RCL, our kids can't come with us? - even just getting off the ship and heading to a beach? Thanks so much for your help!!
Yes. With unvaccinated children you cannot go ashore on your own, only with a ship based excursion. If you want to explore on your own, you can use Adventure Ocean on the ship for the children while you go ashore.

Another shout out to using MEI and Beth Dickerson. Yesterday I got an email from her saying that she was able to apply a discount to my Symphony of the Seas cruise on Sept 25 and we would be getting a $140 OBC for this price adjustment. Say what???? I check prices daily and did not see this but somehow she pulled a rabbit out of her hat and saved us some cash.
Thanks for supporting Royal Caribbean Blog and always going above and beyond for your customers MEI and all their TA's but especially Beth
I got $544 on my October Symphony from the WOW sale. That put me at $900 OBC! I wonder if prices dropped again?

Ok well since I started the social media hub bub, I use it 90% for cruise groups and I do patient advocacy through the dozen or so cancer groups I’m in. The other 10% is horses

I would copy and paste your original post here and send it through Facebook messenger to Royal’s Facebook page. I’ve gotten issues resolved quite quickly going through messenger.

Since this thread is about Alaska pre-planning, I'd like to ask about timing an Alaskan cruise. If one were to choose between May and September (the shoulder seasons), which would be better? What are the pros and cons of each option?
We’ve picked the end of May into early June for 2022. It’s a graduation present for our youngest and the main reason was in the event she gets a job after graduation, hoping to get this trip in before she starts “adulting.”
I checked a few weather apps daily for that week this past May/June to get an idea of what to possibly expect. That particular week this past year was pretty rainy with temps in mid to high 50’s. So basically a Florida winter lol.

Just read that the one passenger died. 77 year old woman. Fully vaccinated.

Hey does anyone know when Summer/Fall 2023 Schedule normally would be released?
November-ish. I say “ish” which means give or take a month. Our May Alaska for 2022 opened up early/mid November 2019. I think Europe follows shortly after.

Funny you mention that because that is where I am torn. I like the itineraries from Vancouver much more, but I really want to explore Seattle. We've been to Vancouver several times already and I doubt we would be bored, but Seattle would be brand new. I saw the hot tub boat on your story, it looked "interesting" lol
Thanks! lol I'm pretty sure I want the aft 2 bedroom OS. The only thing I am not sure about is if those balconies are all the same size between Deck 7-9. Hard to tell from the deck plans and cruisedeckplans doesn't have any detailed info on the different decks, but it almost looks like Deck 9 has the largest balcony. If anyone has any info on balcony size on the 2 Bedroom aft Owner's suites on Radiance class, I would love to hear it!
So if you want to see Seattle, do a southbound out of Seward, then drive from Vancouver to Seattle! Problem solved!

Did you hear that @Matt? I am not responsible for this one!
If Serenade does those same multi-glacier itineraries the following year, that is what I most likely will end up on too.
So to help you narrow down your aft suite (cause I know you want a suite lol) check out 8668 (2 bdrm corner) 9656 (2 bdrm corner) 1100 (corner aft JS), 1602 (JS) and the mother load: 1600 corner grand suite)
We’ve got 1100 booked on Radiance next May for Southbound. Super excited as the balcony is really big.
As you probably already know, 2023 Alaska will be released sometime in November. Keep the credit card easily accessible as those cabins listed above go speedy quick.

I just booked this because I have a chunk of OBC that we’re trying to use.
Was wondering if anyone has done it and if it was good. If so, about how long did the excursion last (start to finish).
Thought about getting lunch at Bushwacker’s then heading to Magen’s Bay if there’s time. We’re in port until 4. Excursion starts at 10:30.
We’ve been to St Thomas several times but will have friends with us who have never been hence Bushwackers for the view and Magen’s Bay because well you know, it’s Magen’s Bay. Gotta see it once in your life!
-
We’ve got a hefty OBC too due to a price drop. What we don’t spend, we plan to cash out in the casino. I believe they take 5% when you do this. There’s a couple other casino tricks too. I’ll let others post them as I’m sure to get it wrong lol

I believe this is correct. She'll have the points she has actually accumulated, but also keep the higher tier she inherited from the parents. Once she accumulates enough additional points to legitimately be at that tier level, then both her achieved tier and inherited tier will be lined up again.
This is correct

Book what you want and do refundable deposits. Are you talking about extending the booking date? Double points has been extended to cruises sailing by December 31, 2022. (I’m assuming your meaning book by September 2021?)
