Matt got a reaction from Robert M in Do we expect more refurbishment news?
I expect the news much closer to the actual refurb. I say that because in the Royal Amplification days the specific details of an amplification were announced closer to the start of the work being done.
Royal has always been cagey about their refurbishments. They tend to play it "close to the vest" until they can't anymore.

Matt got a reaction from Lovetocruise2002 in Going from Port Canaveral to Fort Lauderdale S2S
Renting a car is probably the most straight forward plan, especially since you're already on the coast, so going "backwards" to Orlando to pick up the train isn't ideal.
The advantage of Brightline is you dont have to drive and you don't have to worry about traffic, accidents, or weather slowing you down. if you feel comfortable driving yourself, renting the car will probably be the fastest option.

Matt got a reaction from Cactus527 in Brightline questions
All but one time I've brought my luggage on the train with me. And I'm talking giant suitcases that I would have no choice but to check on an airplane.
There's a luggage rack at one end of each train car, plus the overhead rack.
When I've chosen the Smart rate, I've never paid for luggage by just bringing it onboard.

Matt got a reaction from Ampurp85 in Short Cruise trend
There's two reasons why a cruise line would like a short cruise.
First, the price per day tends to be higher on a short cruise. Plus, the price for add-ons is higher (drink packages especially). And as @twangster pointed out, a CocoCay visit adds a lot of profit too.
Second, first time cruisers flock to short cruises over long cruises, and first time cruisers are what drives growth and their customer base.

Matt reacted to twangster in What would you do? Unclean bathroom glasses
I would have a conversation with the deck supervisor. Ask for them specifically, that is who the cabin attendant reports to.
Explain how you marked the glasses and they were not replaced despite your request. Let them manage their crew member and coach them to do better.
BTW - there is a national noro outbreak going on. It's in the news but largely being ignored because the media hasn't yet tagged cruise ship to the noro headlines.
